Like I said look at successful men who have options to date whomever they want its rarely if ever what a lot of you call thick or curvy (not be mistaken with what really is thick or curvy and not obese).
Before you go to extremes when I say slim I mean women of weight comparable to their height and age but whatever hope you find one of those guys who" prefer" bigger women.

I think its all relative this fat thing. There are obvious ones like 300 lbs which is fat no matter the height of the woman but i have seen 200lb women who carry their weight well and i have also seen a cury sexy 175 lb girl who was described as fat by a guy on TV so fat lies in the eyes of the beholder.

Thanks. I have no problem with that, actually. The problem is incompatability in other areas like spirituality, life goals or what type of relationship we are looking for.

    Skinny

    slim

    curvy

As a woman, I would agree with this. My ex bf and some of the guys I know would be in the "curvy" and "thick" category as far as what they prefer in a woman. But clearly, there must be men out there who like them bigger, hence BB's thread.

What's funny is that this thread was about slim vs heavier men and somehow it derailed to women. Imagine that.

I observed that men that take a big care about their reputation, position or how the other guys look at them, mostly have skinny to slim girls (Model type). If you talk to them they desribe their girl-friends mostly at first like that. " you know, my girl-friend is model or was former model, working for bla bla bla.." is very typical. Whether she is intelligent, cute, a loving woman, comes later...very much later.

My personal experience is that men really like a bit more than too less on the bones, but don't get me wrong. With more I mean between slim and curvy, some butt and boobs, but a slender waist.

But what you like and what you get at the end are two different things..and although men seem to be very visual, they also have a heart and feelings. So, the longterm relationships I know, are seldom between people that are the ideal type of genders, but they've found something more valuable in each other..

I can also confirm that the visual thing of men gets less, when they are older.

    Derailing isn't really new, isn't it`?

I agree with this, Christine, especially the part about things changing as you get older. Maybe that's why my views seem so contrary to alot of the men on here. When I was younger, I was drawn to different things than I am now.

And no, derailing isn't new. Lol! Quite the norm.

Tried to Google a pic of what build I am drawn to in a guy, but I guess I'm not using the right terminology because i'm coming up with zip.

I also like the type of man with a little bit more meet on the bones, he definitly needs not to be musculaire, but a bit like a teddy-bear..lol.. so this body type

I'd say, not correct. I think that thick or curvy are pretty interchangeable terms. The woman described as thick, I'd certainly consider as thick and overweight. While the woman in the last picture is in fact obese, or fat, I think that she could weigh considerably less and still be considered obese or fat. In other words, in the range of what is considered obese, she may be in the middle of the range.

Perhaps, it's better to say, it's your experience, rather than a confirmation. People who have strong feelings about things seldom change them with age, or any other factors.

As I mentioned previously, I don't think that things change as your get older. In fact, when I read this statements, while it may not be true in your case, it suggests to me that people modify what's acceptable because they believe that they can no longer attract or have what they truly would like in a mate. Again, not to use you as the example, but rather something you alluded to earlier, when you were young you were "smaller", and therefore you might feel more able to attract that more desirable person. Then, with age and changes in the body, people suddenly realize that they have to take who they can attract, so to speak.

I can't believe that I'm alone in not having a change in what appeals to me as I've grown older. Of course, I've always seen the qualities of the person as most important, but I still want what I want.

Btw, I do agree that it's strange how the conversation did turn away from the original topic. I think part of the reason is that there wasn't much coming from the ladies to provide an open discussion about the topic. The conversation that did take place seemed to viewed as not honestly addressing the issue and there were no other contributions. Maybe because as someone mentioned, because there aren't FA sites for BHM, which is a legitimate question as discourse goes.
