Bookie, you definitely have a point, here. The extra weight seems "soft", in a way - on a woman that can be appealing to a man. But soft on a man...well, not exactly what the ladies are going for. I think we look for signs of strength (subconsciously) in a man (which I think is why I like well defined biceps), and alot of excess weight would negate signs of that strength.

The idea that all or most women who gain weight on the way to being fat are curvier is deflection of the the truth. It amounts to smoke and mirrors. The "smoke" being that which alters the perception of the images that appear in "mirrors". Curvy is simply a word that's less offensive than fat.

It's not smoke and mirrors. I'm using the word curvier because men use that word to describe women who have curves. Women who are underweight, don't have curves. Women who are the weight they should be, have small curves. Women who weigh more than they should, tend to have bigger curves (though some women carry their weight in the middle).

I never said it was right, I was merely pointing out that some extra weight on women can be more pleasing to a guy's eyes than extra weight on men being more pleasing to a woman's eyes.

If you mean crackhead skinny, I agree. But there are many underweight women who have curves. The idea of a larger woman having more curves than one who's smaller isn't necessarily true. As is the case with any aspect of physical appearance, it's in the eye of the beholder.

There are men who find larger women attractive, certainly. But that preference isn't necessarily because they're supposedly curvier. And individual fat woman may more curves than a particular skinny woman but as a group that's not necessarily true.

    Fine. You win. I lose.

I'm done with the hair splitting that goes on in this place. UGH.

To suggest that men, most of the time, carry body fat around their waists just isn't true. The proportion of body fat is very individual. I'd agree that most people, male of female, who're 40 or 50 lbs. above their ideal body weight, are probably carrying a large portion around their middle section.

In my country and on my continent the word FAT is a compliment but unfortunately it is an offensive word in the western world which is hilarious to me. Men have become sensitive and replaced the term fat for curvy or bbw although some are big and not necessarily beautiful. Because of this women like Dawn French who are egg shaped think they are curvy or thick which is a fallacy. I dont have a problem with the arguments why women might not like Fat men but i have a problen when a man says overweight women are not attrative and goes on to give reasons why that is so and women are up in arms and saying he is shallow and if a skinny woman dares make that statement hell will break loose. Just saying

Natural Selection which is a component in the study of evolution has it that:
The female of a specie when seeking out a mate... will always select the largest, most protection providing, asset having attractive male available........It is probably instinctive also for the human female.........

Funny how natural biological urges is never a good argument for why men might want more than one woman lol.

Like I said earlier I think men are far more forgiving in the looks department. But the moral of the story should be keep yourself in shape no only for yourself but for your loved ones. No one wants to miss you because you didn't have the will power to choose salad over pizza or half hour walks over four hours of tv a night. Living healthy is fucking hot.

Did you expect to justify why women who have gained weight will appeal to men and men who have gained weight will not appeal to women with the theory that men gain it in their gut and women gain it somewhere else and not expect someone to have a different opinion?

Definitely agree with this. I've seen 'bigger' women running the races that I run and despite how well they do, it's so much sexier than a 'little' woman slouched in the couch watching TV. Women in the gym can be very distracting as well.

I "boob" or "booty" means nothing to me. I love a lil waist, and some sexy legs....LOVE THEM...

But I don't sure am not not going to discount a woman who has "less than spectacular" anything. That's shallow. That is what you women accuse of of being.

....that is what I am attracted too.

A lot of women call them "curves"...I call them fat rolls. Lets be honest here folks, the reason why a lot of men go for bigger chicks is simply because they are fuckin horn dogs that will likely bang anything that moves. I know this as a FACT. Some of my friends are like this and I clown on them for it too.

And lmao at thinking women carrying extra weight makes them look better...it fuckin doesnt. Their fat goes to their arms, thighs and also to their belly. They look fuckin terrible but of course our PC society will give them terms like a "voluptuous figure" or a "hour glass figure" or "plus sized". And who can forget the most annoying cringeworthy one of them all...Big Beautiful Woman :smt078 Its all such bullshit. smh

Some men do NOT like slim women. THAT, my dear, is a fact. It has nothing to do with being so horny that they'll get with anything that moves.

I think that's false. I think most men prefer slimmer women but will overlook weight if other things are good. And think Iggy is referring more to obese women. Women who are 30 plus over weight not a woman who is ten pounds over weight. Like I've said for years if you want to see what kind of women the majority of men want look no further than very successful. Most have slimmer good looking women on their arms.

I said SOME men do not like slim women. My ex bf flat out stated he likes a woman with meat on her bones. (Not grossly overweight.) And I know other men who can still get slim women but prefer bigger. Just because you can't deal with that doesn't make it untrue.
