Welcome Laja.... I have a college who has been married to a Nigerian for more then 11 years now and they too have two beautiful children, both girls..


I have to add, they are stunning children, absolutely gorgeous to look at...

 

A relationship between a poor man and a woman who is not necessarily poor is always difficult for the woman regardless of where the man comes from or what colour he is .

I enjoyed reading your frank and honest commentary.

Nigerians say this quite often, " London is a leveler, Apapa is the sorta out" translated, it means : outside the shores of Nigeria, there is no way to distinguish a good Nigerian from a bad Nigerian, we are all get all lumped under the same country classification. I guess it is the way things work, especially with people without local insight of a country and its people that they wish they desperately understood.

I understand the feeling that it is painful when you can't confirm for sure, especially if you have a poor boyfriend , whether he genuinely loves you. I can only wish that taking your chance was well worth it.

In the part of the country where I come from, when you already have issues (kids), the relationship is considered a success and a blessing. Now, it is irrelevant whether the mother is alien or white , what matters is the love the union between the sheets has created, and now manifests in a new life, or human being.

The best I can wish you is that I hope you found your true love and the heart of your hearts. I think with what you have and what it seems, taking your chance is well worth. And I also wish to welcome you to this site, I am also Nigerian.
