    You're probably right about that.

I dunno. They might object to having their lovelife characterized as the instinctive base reactions of quivering lumps of hyper-sexualized flesh reacting to some sub-human beastlike caricature of black manhood.

How does it work? Do we get a numbered ticket and just wait until we're called or is it 'first come, first served?'

*and thanks for the rep support, guys*

    I know, right.

And they say, "The revolution will not be televised."

You pretty much answered your own question in this post so why continue. Do you need to hear you're right? You're right boo.

She has a point here can't hate. But your approach is a lot less tactless than Tam's just saying

What about short distance running? We as group have been killing that for decades fam. Same with boxing, basketball, baseball, football, and soccer. All kids of every race play those sports early on and for some reason(I would bank on slavery) we not only do well but dominate the sport. Numbers don't lie fam.

Because she is obviously going through a phase and when she is ready to start her life she'll go back to the white guys Orejon described. She doesn't even get to know these men she just looks at them as physical specimens to have fun with and at her age I can't blame her. Its what you do in your early 20s which is why I keep telling young dudes its all about staying in shape and stacking your money. Don't let the old brawds lead you astray lol.

That's what I was trying to get at: that blacks in the US and the west generally, dominate the sprint, and generally every sport we play in, not because we're some sort of super-strong beasts, but because any group gets good at what it is allowed to do. I was trying to point out our strength in the sprint (as an ethnic group in the US), as well as the sports that use the sprint in the sport (baseball, football, basketball). Boxing I chalk up to poverty. Every poor ethnic group is over-represented in boxing. Hell, even among whites, it's the poorer ethnic subgroups that are still doing it. And then to show that others around the globe (including blacks) do better in distance running because it is more evenly distributed as a popular activity. I think the overrepresentation has more to do with history than some sort of biological advantage.

Surely that doesn't count for us old guys, right?

Sorry I'm not following fam. In my opinion centuries of hard laborous work made our ancestors genes strong which were passed down from generation to generation. Another reason why we usually dominate the fuck out of body building competitions because we tend to attain muscle mass a lot quicker. I could be off but these are things I've observed.
As far as what you said about what every group is allowed to do, every group is allowed to run no? And games like basketball that aren't just about speed but agility seem to be dominated by kids who come from areas with nothing more than sneakers and a ball opposed to other kids who played in nice gyms with great equipment. Your argument asserts that some are allowed to do what others aren't and it seems like they're allowed to do the same thing. It's not like hockey which seems to be a wealthier sport or cycling.

Especially to us old guys who have to hear haters tell us dating women in their early 20s is either childish or impossible because younger women will consider us old or try to use us lol. What I find most hypocritical is that many if not most have a story of a guy ten years or plus their senior that they use to hook up with.

I think we're in agreement on everything minus the genetic component of your argument. In my opinion the genetic argument is defeated by our very real higher rates of sickle cell, high blood pressure and other syndromes that began as environmentally-influenced conditions that can become chronic and ultimately endemic to the organism. If we were somehow genetically enhanced or superior by centuries of slave labor somehow toughening us up, we would not be as susceptible as a group to certain chronic illnesses, some due to genetic factors, other due to poor environmental and health conditions. There may be some causal relationship, I was just trying to say I reserve the right to judge until actual scientific material comes out as opposed to what seem like endless anecdotal examples.

My whole emphasis on sprinting and related sports was in response to the thread starter's earlier comments about quick-twitch muscles leading to enhanced speed. Agility is also fed by quick-twitch muscles as well. I was just trying to note in those comments the differences in games groups around the globe play, how much they run, etc and that these differences can in fact, affect children's fitness or interest in certain sport types, rather than these abilities being solely driven by some sort of selective breeding. I didn't mean to imply that people aren't allowed to run around the globe, but sports blacks in the US were initially allowed to play were those that we ultimately excelled in. The history of playing certain sports evolves over time into cultural preferences that then appear to take the form of "traits" when they're really just the result of repeated learned activity. And those sports generally involve short bursts of speed and agility, including all the ones you noted.

As a general rule, African-Americans don't practice endurance sports en masse as a black cultural phenomenon (although many individuals, myself included, do). But African blacks do, as do many other races around the world. So my point was that much of what she claims as some sort of genetic proclivity or advantage is difficult if not impossible to separate from advantages that may naturally flow from long-term cultural preferences that lead children to play from an earlier age and excel due to greater familiarity and ability developed over time, rather than at the cellular level.

My only issue with that is aren't all children encouraged to play the sport blacks seem to dominate. I played basketball as a kid with kids of every background and the black kids were almost always better. Every so often you'd get that rare white kid but for the most part we were faster and had better dribbling skills. I'm sure there has to be some kind of reason for that. I agree that starting early helps but I can't seem to account for the fact that in a given group of youngsters that seems to be the result.

I totally accept those results, but I think they come from those sports more thoroughly permeating our culture in general, which results in black children
being exposed earlier and more often and often to a more limited range of sports (with a resulting deeper ability level developing) rather than, as may be the case with relatively wealthier white children, getting a little bit of everything and perhaps not developing proficiency in anything. Again, I haven't done the research, so what do I know? LOL - I'm just waiting for the peer-review journal.

lol don't hold your breath. Anytime guys do that they lose their job. Like the dude who wrote about black women being less desirable.
