Goodlove........Don't talk to me through neg rep either. I asked you not to talk to me or quote me and you continue to do it even after I asked you.

At this point I find it harassing and if you do it again I will report you.

You are an imbecile in my opinion and I find we can't have decent conversation between us, so as not to spoil it for others don't address me at all. Hopefully you can understand this. Or you can continue and be reported. Your choice whether to act as an adult.

I agree that there are various possibilities for explaining how a person ends up the way he/she does. I mentioned that in a previous post. But that comment in bold seems as though the idea of equality isn't becoming a reality, it seems more like the ideals of superiority are shifting from one gender to the next. I was under the impression that the decision to be with someone was a product of two people making a choice as oppose to a man hoping for a woman to choose him as oppose to two people deciding to choose each other. I am not sure if that is what you meant, but I have heard it more often these days from fellow female coworkers.

In regards to "Men using money to get women". If that were true for most men, a man would not get married because his goal is "women" and not a "woman". Men work hard to achieve success and financial stability for similar, if not the same, reasons that women do. That first paragraph you wrote was spot on. The second seems more like you are advocating for female superiority.

Just in case anyone is wondering...

My issue is not that of whether a Father or Mother is a better parent (because it could go either way depending on the parents involved), but the issue of our court system's gender-biased decisions...

I've noticed a distinct trend here on this board. Women of a certain age on here speak from a different perspective than a lot of the men when it comes to dating because they have either had children already and/or past prime child rearing ages so they make statements like "women don't care about what men have because they have their own" but for a lot of the men who tend to date younger women looking to settle down they could careless if they make 100k they want a man who makes 200k because they want to be able to have children without sacrificing standard of living

I've noticed... I was also scolded in a "positive thread" that I created for being positive. Meanwhile you are getting scolded for being negative in a discussion turned negative. Certain people on here are rather funny.

there you go. I saw how they acted when you tried to do something positive. its a shame people go off of rumors and then on top of that get mad when you have an opposing views.

shows lack of maturity and ignorance

as far as tax breaks they just get the pass card.

LOL..what do you guys have with "superiority" Male or female.. I am talking about, how it was in the 60s/70s, when the female and male roles were clear. Man takes care about money, woman takes care about kids. Man says, what is going on, woman has to be silent (that was the situation, when I grew up, what I've experienced at my home and my friends home- mostly).

These roles changed. Women got more power, more education, more money, what made them independent. And automatically they cut the mens position within family. I am not talking about women are more valuable than men.

I am talking about the chance, to be honest to each other, without fearing to lose your existence..

Factually, women are waiting longer to "settle down", so it seems odd that younger women, at least at the age you have expressed dating or even your own age, would be ready for this kind of commitment. Odder still is that women who've worked hard to become professions would want to abandon their careers, which require often demand more time and attention, in favor of "settling down.

So, that'd seem to leave only women who're not professional and who are focused on child-bearing at an early age, women that I thought you typically avoided. It's probably true that women fitting this profile would seek out men to support them, and become providers for them. However, this is only intuitive perspective and the ONLY people who can really shed meaningful light on this issue are women who fit that profile. Perhaps, if any of those women are members they can shed some light on the issue.

you hit a good point. the equal rite movement was going on since slavery. when the 60's , 70's and 80's. even commercials were hitting the sexual revolution during the 80's . The fite was suppose to be for equality......

not the fite to destroy little boys and tell little girls you dont need a man to raise a family.

the problem is that the pendulum has swung to far on the other side

Doesn't that really depend on the values of the individual woman? It's such a blanket assumption to suggest that it "automatically cuts the men's position within the family". This also presupposes that men seek relationships based on those antiquated perspectives of marriage, which again is most often not the case.

Being independent, having money and education doesn't dictate that women want to change traditional roles, perhaps only a modification of the responsibilities or even no changes in the case of many women.

alot of people (men and women) dont understand the concept of intradependance

In addition, these roles were more a product of WASP society. So, I understand your point from that perspective. But those same people who oppressed women and continue to do so are a product of that culture (If we are just discussing the U.S.). I wonder if the disconnect is that BM are taking offense for rightful anger directed at WM at that time.

It doesn't dictate , but it gives the possibility to change the roles, if the woman wants to.. And to be able to choose gives freedom, an own will. If you don't believe then look to Africa, today, or many russian countries..wherever women are not educated or don't earn money, they are suppressed. Maybe some like it, but most hate it. Women are equal to men, not better, but also not worse.
