Free Speech and Incitement of racial hatred are 2 very different things here. I find it interesting that most of the time when people complain about free speech its usually a situation that involves some kind of objection to not being permitted to cause offense to another person or group.

Firstly we are talking about the UK, not Europe. Here the vast majority of the population and the law of our land agree that everyone whilst in a public place and at work has the right NOT be abused verbally or otherwise. Race is just one of the many things covered. Thats not idiotic, its noble, decent and basic common sense.
