    On a more serious note, I hope that everyone is enjoying the spirit of the day and reflecting on all that each of us has to be thankful for in our lives.

    I'm thankful for having been blessed with a sense of who I am, and the ability to strive and reach my goals.

    I'm also thankful for my health and having people in my life who love and appreciate me.

    What're you thankful for in your life?

    Many things, but mostly my son. He's a terrific young man and we have the best relationship.

    Thanks for creating this thread. I can't wait for Thanksgiving next year. Hopefully Obama wins and is re-elected. That would make next Thanksgiving memorable.

    Even though it's not thanksgiving where I am, I'm still saying happy thanksgiving to everyone down in the USA lol xD

    SKJgal101,I went to Canada on Thanksgiving week and I like to know how do Canadians celebrate their Thanksgiving?

    Well, in Canada, we have thanksgiving in October. We have turkey or ham as the main dish item, and we say our "I'm thankful for..." saying BEFORE we eat our dinner on that day. We don't have Black Friday after our thanksgiving, but we do have it the day after AMERICAN thanksgiving. :rolleyes:

    I think the Canadians should start their own shopping traditions like a weekend after Canadian Thanksgiving or two weeks after.

    After God, my son is what I'm most thankful for. Raising him alone was tough, but thanks to God I got it done. He's a beautiful & amazing young man, & we're blessed with a great relationship. It's hard to believe my baby is almost 20 (it makes me feel old, lol).
