Actually, I don't think he does date ww, or at least not exclusively. His wife was asian and, as far as I'm aware, his current girlfriend is black. Neither of his children have white mothers either. But, again...I'm no more informed than the next fan, so who knows?

 

You don't see white women complaining about it, but I've seen and heard plenty of Asian dudes who complain about Asian women who won't date them.

 

Agreed. AW/WM couples don't really affect us so we don't spend much time researching about it. But logically, there would be some WW and AM who don't like seeing it. It's affecting their social circle, not ours.

 

When white men are on the favorable side of the power dynamic, as they have been for a bit now (understatement), there's no problem. Of course, part of being on the favorable side was subjugating other groups and cordoning off "their own" women.

I know plenty of Asian men who (loudly or quietly...mostly quietly) complain about their depiction in media and how that might relate to their current dating situation and the options they do and do not have.

For all the talk by some white people about Obama not "celebrating his white side" part of the hate toward him, I think, was that he was a product of the most tabooed pairing in American history.

 

That's true. You're wholeheartedly correct. I recall reading on another site that it was most difficult for Asian Men and Black Women to engage in relationships. The research stated that they felt kind of "left out", if you know what I mean.

 

Oh no doubt you have the Asian dudes that get worked up about it when it comes to AW/WM relations.

But I rarely see where say a white male celebrity is dating an Asian woman it becomes a major deal in the media.

There are celebrity white males dating or married to Asian women that we don't even know about.

Its just viewed as another couple.

The moment someone finds out some black male celebrity is dealing with white women out come all the assumptions, stereotypes and ignorance.

It seems it can never be just two people attracted to each other and it is what it is.

 

If the African American community could be more tolerant of its men and women engaging in relationships outside of their race, then perhaps it won't be that big of a deal in the media. We can handle it if it comes from white men. It's a lot harder when it's coming from other black men and women.

Also, we've probably brought it on ourselves anyway. A minority of blacks (under 50%) do it because of self-hate, and their stupidity has affected it for all black men and women who wish to engage in interracial relationships.

 

Certainly has merits. It's reality flew in the face of so many folks who are uncomfortable with such relations. Bet many thought they would never see the day that the offspring of a black man and white woman would be Commander in Chief of these United States.

The odd thing about that is no one is preventing them from pursuing those relationships, yet they are virtually miniscule given the population size in America.

 

Definitely social history and issues play a role in that, we may eventually one day arrive at that point where its not as big of a deal, maybe.

 

The reason this is such a big deal is because for the longest time blacks especially the men weren't considered nor treated like people. So to see the personification of femininity with what wasn't considered a person is nothing short of beastiality in the minds and hearts of the ignorant.
Its why the idea of the Kardashians prefering bm is so mind boggling regardless of the fact that all those men are well accomplished. Hell two are considered world champions in their respected professions and not just benchwarmers key players but to ignorant and those who capitalize off that ignorance that shit doesn't matter.

 

WM hate us for it, and BW hate us for it. WM and BW should really hook up as they pretty much have the same opinion on BM/WW

 

They hook up more than you'd ever imagine.

 

Actually, where I grew up, it happened often. But, then again, there weren't many Black People where I grew up.

 

BW and WM do most of their hooking up at work and on Campus.

I looked it up and his ex-wife looks like she may be Asian/black. That is part of what I do not like about hater site. They just throw stuff out there to get people (black women) riled up.

If he did date white women, he probably would keep it on the DL so as not to offend his fan base. I wouldn't expect to see him in any movies with a non-black love interest any time soon for the same reason

 

Pretty much, I don't sweat anyone else's relationship, no matter what color, sexuality, religion or any of that. None of my business.

I'm just often amused when folks seem to think they can analyze black men and white women who are together, when they don't even know those folks from A-Z.

Of all the complaints of BM going after WW,some BW are going with WM and strangly there is no byching by the BW. I wonder if those BW are going after brothers like the Morehouse Men who got degrees? If not they have themselves the blame.

 

They know it gets hits, so they do that cause it's their bread and butter. Those posts/articles get from 100 something to like 500 something (or more) hits, easily.

I agree with you. I was surprised when I saw the list, cause I've never heard of him and a WW either.

..actually..i do get a kick out of celebs with IR pairings tho..I think they help the cause, because they're known figures with access to millions of eyes. it's a known fact that many people follow what celebs do. If Tiger endorses Nike, people buy Nike. If Oprah says book XYZ is stellar, people will buy it.
