Chesbaygirl, you’re so enamoured with that guy, I bet you will let the old coach spank you hard in front of 80, 000 foot ball hungry Penn State fans, lol

Not enamored with him at all. I just think he has become the fall guy in all of this, when mistakes were made by many. Could he, should he, would he have done more, looking back? Yes, by his own admission. But should this be what he is remembered for after the life he lived? No. And that's what this article says so much better than I can.

Fuck that fool. He knew what was going on. He should be happy, though. Most people wouldn't have a lick of support in this shit. At least he has a campus full of people still ridin' with his ass.

    correction...105,000+

sells out for every game too

i used to love the guy as he was definitely a perennial campus celebrity. the school spirit at PSU during football season is second to none, mainly as a result of what he's done as a coach. what him and everyone else did as far as the molestation was unacceptable tho.:smt074

not sure why they're rioting either. He stood by when he should have gotten that guy canned and put up against some charges. They must let any idiot into the student body these days.

goes to show you how people really are

Read the Grand Jury report, all of it.
The entire coaching staff should be fired, including JoePa. Also the entire PSU administration.

Paterno was told in 1998 and 2002 of Sandusky showering naked with little boys and raping a boy in the PSU athletic showers.

JoePa fucked up. This was a cover-up. Can't wait for the media shit storm when it's revealed(per Jason Whitlock) that many of Sandusky's victims were Black.

Dude, real shit. Mufuckas these days care more about they damn school football teams than they do education. Someone wrote that shit to CNN today and they weren't lyin'. They'll send their biology professor up the river before they do their beloved coach that has nothing to do with them academically. As long as they can have bragging rights at the next homecoming game or bullshit tailgate party, rape must be okay with them fools.

If Phil Jackson pulled some shit like that, I'd still say "can this fool"(Hopefully Phil never gets caught up in some ol' shit like that, and it ain't even about the Laker's legacy).

    Read the article. Still.

What if you had to take it personal vs I have University/my sport team pride?

As is what if it was your 10 year old son or daugther who was butt fvcked in a shower and the man who did it wasn't punished nor the men who knew about it reported it?? Think about it in terms of what if that was done to my flesh and blood. Would you be so forgiving?

Rape and child abuse can have life long consequences to a child. They have no idea what to make of it and where to put those feelings. I am sadly disappointed that the people who looked the other way won't be charged. The student body and people there are starting to make me wonder..........what is ok to Pennsylvania people? Really??!! You can't have that much pride in a sport program to look the other way to this.

There will be other winning coaches who will come in and take over. And they probably will have morals enough to not let the staff rape kids.

Sorry to have to take the other side as you here but I just can't see what you are defending.

I believe she is saying that he should nt be the only one getting fired right now. If that is the case then she is rite he is the fall guy.

I'm sure before the dust settles there will be more gone.

It was reported to him and he was the boss. It is clear he should go. So regardless of who else stays or goes he has his culpability. Correctly fired. Next.

No apology necessary. Yoi are entitled ro your feelings and opinions.

My devotion is not to the PS sports program. I rarely even watch their games. I don't absolve Paterno of wrongdoing. I just think it is sad that this is what he will be remembered for instead of all the years of good that he brought to the university and students.

I have a son so I can imagine how devastating this would be. But I also hope that I would be able to look at something like this fairly. If those who witnessed the sodomization had gone to the authorities, it would never have gone this far.

I'm done with this. My point of view is not acceptable to most on here, and is not really understood, but that's ok.

What punishment they dole out to others has no bearing on what he did and his punishment.

That is like Goodlove stealing something and being punished and saying well other people stole too so why are you punishing me. Each person will answer in time. That doesn't take away the responsibility of Paterno for his actions.

what ? LOL. he and others knew that guy was molesting kids. they all should go down. the prez, the grad student that walked in on the molester and others who decided not to do anything....like the D.A. at that time.

what is being said is that Paterno should be fired and not be the only one. if he is the only one (along with the prez) he is the fall guy. that is the definition of a fall guy

I understand. If Paterno had just acted appropriately he would have retired quietly and with grace instead of a storm of bad. He chose his own path.

we know that. she is saying that he and others not just the prez should have gone down/fired. thus rite now he is the fall guy
