It seems at least he tried to invest as opposed to blowing it on random things, but it didn't work out.
this so many athletes blow that shit it's not funny. He could have played it safe and just banked it while letting interest build. He didn't have to be greedy on some Donald Trump shit.
That is what I was thinking. At least he wasn't blowing it on fast women and cars but when sports is your forte that doesn't mean you are a financial wizard. He might have gotten bad advice. Anyone can make bad investments. At least he was *trying to do the right thing and make his money work for him.
I can sympathize with this guy; he was trying to invest for his family future not like he was blowing his money on hookers, drugs and fast cars like some of the athletes.
Many of these guys in the NFL and NBA are criminally careless with their finances. Some make more in a year than several generations of a single family and they piss it away on frivolous consumption; taking care of their "boys"; and bad business investments. Rocket Ismael invested in all kinds of weird shit like a calligraphy business. Calligraphy, really?! And what do any of these guys need an entourage for? A bunch of useless dudes hanging around, driving your cars, and picking off your leftover groupies. Baby mamas is another one. A child is at least eighteen years of court-appointed support; put on a condom fool! T.O. has four baby mamas and shells out thousands of dollars a month to each of them. Antonio Cromartie has nine kids with eight women. Ridiculous!
from wiki...take it with a grain of salt Terrell Owens became a father to Terique Owens on September 25, 1999. Owens' second son, Atlin Owens, was still a toddler as of 2009. Atlin was asked to model for Famous Stars and Straps (FSAS) Spring ‘09 clothing line.[5] Owens also has a daughter, Kylee Owens. On February 27 and 28, 2010, Owens tweeted that he was spending time with his daughter and posted pictures of the two of them. He has a second daughter named Dasha.[6][7] In September 2011, Owens was sued by Melanie Paige Smith, the mother of his daughter, for failure to pay child support but the case was settled prior to trial.[8] ========================================================= Chad Javon Ochocinco[1] (born Chad Javon Johnson He has four children: Jicyra, Chad Johnson II, Chade and Cha'iel.[46] On May 5, 2007, Ochocinco was sued for allegedly not giving away a Lexus that was supposed to be raffled off. The suit added two plaintiffs who claimed that they had won trips from Ochocinco (one to Europe; one to Hawaii), that Ochocinco never awarded.[47] Ochocinco also has interests in sports outside of football. On June 9, 2007, he raced a thoroughbred racehorse over a furlong (220 yards / 200 meters) for charity. Johnson, given a 110-yard (100 m) head start, beat the horse by twelve lengths.[48]
Yes it's true that athletes do blow through their money in various ways. I wish I had the actually article, but it is said that most avg. NFL, NBA players are broke less than 3 yrs after playing. They do make a ridiculous amount of money for what they do. But it is sort of similar to winning the lottey. You go from one day having nothing, to the next day be able to do whatever you want. Noy every situation is the same, not all athletes grow up with rough childhoods. Some come from parents of former athletes, middle class families and such. Last time I checked the ppl from Wall St. to Bay St to the White house and various govts have all made bad investments. Nothing is solid, even Apple loses money lol.
yeah, lets note this......all people from all walks of life are living from pay check to pay check....however these guys shouldnt. I saw that stat you are talking about and you are about right .... I think it was like 3 to 5 then they are broke
WTH? This just shouldn't happen. And then he got shady and it bit him in the ass. Trusting an ex with $, lol. smh. http://newsone.com/entertainment/ruthlogan/antoine-walker-evelyn-lozada/
I read an article that broke Dennis Rodman was in Vegas passing out money like he just printed it. I think he's gonna have a hard time convincing the judge he can't pay his obligations now. What a fool.
He needs to get over it. You're not a baller anymore. Real Life 101. Sick of hearing about these fools blowing their money. Sounds to me like he is still living better than a lot of folks out and about. Imagine the day I feel bad for a multi-million dollar athlete that threw it all away frivolously. Now he is taking financial management courses, now Are these guys even educated in the least. Some of these cats are straight dumb as fuck.
It can all be explained in an old jewish proverb which says.... .........."A fool and his money will soon part".........
All that money, you'd think he would have over the years. The course he's taking now he's ordered to per the Bankruptcy..it's not even on his own volition. No doubt. The money the Trustee is attempting to collect is so they can give it to his creditors. That's his/her sole job (they get their fee from his money so it's in their interests to recover).
