Anyone who has stepped outside of their own backyard would know there is no comparison between england and the us when it comes to race relations...

That post was actually insulting  lol

Britain is far from a racial utopia but its also far and away the closest the world gets at this moment in time. Maybe Holland matches us.

If the Obamas were in No 10 Downing Street no one in their right mind in the public eye would dare compare Michelle to Chewbacca here. That would be career suicide. In America its just thinly veiled hatred that certain people there lap up like a hot meal.

Cosign. It amazes me how some of the infantile dummies on this forum want to pretend like Europe isn't just better period when it comes to IR dating.

Tell that to a lot of the US women on here who make men on here sound crazy for wanting or desiring to keep it strictly European and Aussie in terms of their dating choices.

I am sure there are countless white queens in both Oz and America, the upmost respect to you. But for sheer variety of culture and different types of features and all the mixing that goes on in Europe it is the WW equivalent of King Solomon's mines.

yes it was insulting, but you also need to see where and from whom the comment was coming from to put it back into perspective

I guess my only issue is why keep it strictly? To say things are way different there when it comes to race relations is absolute truth. To say that WW here are all racists or are caught up in that mind set is not truth.

True but the majority seem to be. In 2011 its still taboo for ww to date bm. That colors ones thnking.

That's right. At least in the part of America where I live in, race relations aren't horrible.

You're right, Andrae. Take a vacation there if you have the money.

Good work, you've proven your point. Race relations in Europe are a notch better than they are in America.

Here's something else interesting that I've found to add proof to your claim.

Those people simply think black people are on a lower caliber, a lower human class, if you could call it that. Hence, this study probably explains why the American BM on this forum complain about the dating scene/environment in the area of the country that they live in.

Perhaps more of us should take an interest into pursuing other ethnic groups of women, such as Hispanic, Black, Bi-racial and Asian women, in addition to white women. If you increase your interest beyond white women/women of only one race, you're more likely to have a more prosperous dating life.

I guess I'm lucky not to associate with people who think that way.

I think you misunderstood what said. I am quite sure and know there are many many great and beautiful women in Oz and the US. Just stating that there is far more of a mix in Europe. Im not sure what you mean when you say "discount". When I use the word queen I mean it in the truest sense of the word. No double meanings

There's no study that says the majority of American white women harbor racism and hate towards blacks, so I don't think we should really agree with that.

The very existence of such an article in your mainstream media proves that the UK is actually decades ahead. America is and always has been race obsessed. Until all the groups can see past the colour of their own skin they will never be able to look beyond those of others. Until that changes the USA will remain in the skin colour dark ages.

Despite the fact that Obama won in 2008 and may win again in 2012.

A 2010 article from the DailyMail UK actually says that race relations between blacks and whites in America have actually descended to a lower level under Obama's presidency. Part of the reason this has happened, according to the article is because Obama was able to get the Health Care Reform passed, and this caused some nasty riots and infighting in DC between blacks and whites on the day after Congress passed it. So perhaps Politics in Washington is one of the driving forces behind race relations.

America is going through a rough patch in this decade. I hope that by the next decade, 2020, American society can make a jump and improve.

of course the variety in culture and different types of features favours europe...the land mass alone overshadows a little island like australia, and we are only 1 country. now, if it's culture you're after, i've got culture coming out my wazoo (along with sunshine)

And, unfortunately, that thought is taught, whether consciously or unconsciously. I learned at a very young age, that being with a black man was unacceptable in my family. Simply by the inflection in her voice, my aunt conveyed this idea when she said her former daughter-in-law had "taken up with a black man." That's all I heard her say, but the way she said it made it quite clear to me how she thought. And that has stayed with me all these years. Quite sad that one sentence, or more to the point, the way one word was said, can shape (poison) someone's understanding.
