I see what you mean, and to an extent I'd agree. From the broadest sense, it is the same. Dating a person is dating a person. The smaller nuances just come through experience. I'm not sure what kind of advice I could give someone who is 'considering dating a BM' aside from to say look at him as a person and not a color, which is what I meant when I said it's the same as dating a WM. I certainly wouldn't even think to approach it from a hair angle.

Agreed - like I said, I think how a man wants to wear his hair is up to him. Would a gorgeous set of dreads turn my head on the street? Yes, just like a lot of men like to see long hair on a woman. But I like my hair short, I think it looks better, and I wouldnt change that to suit a guy, and I wouldnt ask him to change how he likes his hair to suit my preference. To me, that's about respect.

Jordan, I wasn't trying to be rude, I honestly did not understand. Of course she's going to make mistakes if English isn't her first language, I just needed clarification to understand what she was getting at.

    Lol

like jaisee said tho, there is a problem with many blacks, that don't appreciate their hair. I for one let it grow out a while before cutting it back down. We were given a specific type of hair just like everyone else and I love it. I hate when people tell me it's time for a cut.

On the whole people changing people thing, I was under the impression that this was a standard, especially for women

they're usually neater, have better fashion sense, etc. I haven't met one girl that hasn't tried to doll me up for nights out
