Apparently, Officer Michael Daragjati was under investigation by the FBI for insurance fraud and extortion, and didn't know that The Bureau had tapped his phones. Now, thanks to the wire and his own stupidity, he's been indicted for violating the civil rights of a black man after falsely accusing him of resisting arrest on Staten Island.

The New York Post reports that the wire caught the genius bragging about the incident to a female friend. Daragjati told the woman that he had "fried another n*****, no big deal", and she responded with laughter. Yep, believe or not, people are still amused by racism in 2011. In another call, prosecutors claim that Daragjati was expressing how difficult it is to load a motorcycle into the high bed of a pickup truck, and then suggested a friend "pile some n****** up and drive it over them." New York's finest, folks.

Yup mentioned this story in another thread a week back.

    Just sickening muthafuckas.

You have another one they arrested who was the nephew of a Genovese crime family member, he was trafficking drugs and weapons along with 3 other officers he recruited.

You have a ticket fixing scandal that has come to light among dozens of them.

You have a story of one officer telling how him and other officers planted drugs on innocent people to meet their arrest quotas from the department.

I mean W.T.F. is going on here. They are the real inmates running the asylum it seems.

Exactly, even one rotten cop can fuck up the life of an innocent person big time, because they are always going to be given the benefit of the doubt in a court of law over you or I.

What I find more disgusting is the "good" cops who look the other way and let dirty shit happen.

Definitely a POS crooked cop. But lets not act like every cop is like that. The vast majority of police officers are good people.

We know what he won't get: a jail sentence.

when the facts are as plain as day, there is no maybe or maybe not.

if he inadvertently confessed to getting people locked up on bogus charges, he needs to go down

that's just something a cop shouldn't do to anyone

unfortunately some people don't see it that way

of course these same people probably wouldn't be able to pass the criminal background check to become one, so their input in these types of matters don't matter. That's like giving convicted felons the right to vote.

    you just don't.

A lot of pigs can't even follow the laws they are sworn to uphold...much less survive the same abuse they dish out.

Are you kidding? Tell that to the dude who got shot up 42 times by the cops and never went to jail(one dude actually reloaded) or the dude who got the plunger up his ass or Chris Bell. The cops are NEVER found guilty for fucking over bm. I don't think they're all bad but I'm sure as fuck not dumb enough to believe they're here for my protection.
And ex cons not being able to vote is stupid as fuck too. Once you pay your debt to society you shouldn't still be held accountable. I've been saying it for years, if we don't truly believe in rehabilitation then let's stop being hypocrites and off them. Everything from car theft to murder.

The key with that is Cops are sworn to uphold the law and be professional in their duties.

When someone goes into a courtroom and the jury hears the cops word vs the defendant. The police will get the benefit of the doubt at every possible word.

This is why even one rotten cop is one too many.

If that one dirty officer is costing people their freedom/life that is beyond fucked up.

We have seen too many cases where it rears its ugly head.

As I stated prior in this thread, I have never ran into any issues with the police, but at the same point in time I have seen too many cases where young black men have paid a high price, who is to say how many of the dudes sitting in jail now on some drug charge were innocent, but no one believes them and think they are just another lowlife dope dealer. Easy to cast them off.

Imagine being in that position and being innocent, when you have NYPD cops saying they planted drugs on innocent people.

On top of that, what's to stop me from reaching for my wallet and collecting some lead and its portrayed that I was reaching for a weapon.

This shit happens ever so often that leaves one wondering.

Yes. That is what harbors this feeling of being invincible. Knowing whatever they do their comrades will keep it a secret. There should be laws directed at breaking down their code of silence.

That shit will never happen as long as the fuck withthe poor and minorities. Like I've said for years show me an accidental shooting by the cops involving a white person or someone wealthy.
