I think most people are dismissive of things that don't directly affect them and truthfully rightly so. Its hard to understand because when you're pooled with people causing the harm ie white cops its hard for a lot of white people to understand because you yourself aren't like that so to you it comes off sounding a little weird. Kind of like men and the rape issue.

 

Exactly as a man I could never fully grasp what rape is like to a woman.

I can wholeheartedly empathize and volunteer to cut off the dick of the perpetrator, but I can never comprehend losing that peace of mind.

The only men that might come close to grasping that are one's who were sexually abused while growing up.

I get his frustration. It's something as a black male you hear your whole life. People actually act like we're making it up because they "personally know" cops. Evil people don't always make their shitty behavior known to people.
This is what happens when you knowingly let evil run amuck. I know for a fact that their are really good hearted and God serving clergyman but you forfeit the right to be looked at as such when you belong to an organization that hides child molesters. Same with being a cop. I know a lot of people don't look the other way but way more than should be allowed do. There's no way you can get away with being a crooked piece of shit cop for years without help.

I was not discounting the black male experience in the US. I was simply defending the police. Not all of them are worthy of defending, but in my opinion most are.

If FH had taken the time to read any of my past posts he would know that I do indeed not minimalize racism in America or any where else for that matter.

Since I was forced to stop being a police officer I have worked very hard and in some very dangerous situations to try to improve the lives of people who have been marginalized in society. My work with the UN was very rewarding for me.

I cannot believe that someone, after reading what I posted on here about being raped and shot would then call me a pig.

Like the man said everyone is ok with exclusion and insults until they're the ones being insulted and excluded but if I have to be honest with myself I don't get as upset about insults against hispanics or asians since I don't identify with them. Even though I have people I'm close with in my life that are hispanic and asian. I guess the rule applies across the board.

But I'll say this about Flame. He may be rude and crass and has as much cooth as a prison snitch but I some of his critiques are 1000% on point. Like I had no idea how racist Hispanics were until homeboy kept ranting about it. Rather than dismiss it because I personally don't know any that are like that I looked that shit up and saw a lot of these mofos hate us worst than the Nazis and KKK put together. I think I am much better off with this knowledge than without it.

 

I can only speak for myself, but it seems like you guys insult each other all the time, so I figured you were ok with it. I haven't read a post from flame yet that I could support. But everyone else seemed to tolerate him. And as a relative newbie, I am not looking to make waves. However, I am getting bolder by the day. What do I really care if a total stranger doesn't like me?
