Well, when I read Frederick's post, it was written in a way as if most American white women have an "aversion" towards black men. I would disagree, I don't think it's that bad.
I don't know how you expect to score with ANY woman, talking like this. Women don't like men who insist on remaining in '"pity party" mode.
lol...that's faaaaar too much work...!!!! and yep...alias indeed :smt045 oh & btw...hoorah for you being back, you delectable gorgeous woman you :smt049
What find funny is that women keep saying this as if this how a guy would speak to a woman he's actually trying to get with. Sounds like homeboy is venting.
No shit son. That's my response to some bullshit that got written on a internet forum. These people really think that Freddy or anybody else here who has agreed with his posts steps to broads with lines like "I know you'd rather be with a white boy, but you want to grab a drink sometime?" The people here kill me with their bullshit.
pffffftttttt...who are you really...??? your style of writing is so familiar...it's only a matter of time
Freddy, I don't care who you are or what you have to say, but a .gif of what appears to be domestic violence is uncalled for and could be triggering for people who have been in that situation. Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm old and so I don't matter, but seriously, that just struck me as all kinds of wrong.
I agree. SMFDH at Fredz. He won't care though and it probably won't get removed cuz that's how things are around here now.
At times, it feels like the forum is going to implode from the weight of negativity, lack of civility and insults. What some people see as debate, most others see as attempts to malign the character and disrespect of other members using inflammatory language. Most adults understand that this is the worst thing to do if you truly want to encourage open and honest sharing and communication. It's certainly not a comfortable environment when you have to be on guard with every post, or as many say, you simply decide, never mind, and don't post anything at all. IMO, as a community of users, we have the right to demand a level of decorum, if it's deemed important. However, there isn't a sufficient and and sustained enough outcry to create any real change. So, I predict that more people, fair minded and positive people, will post less, take sabbaticals to escape the insanity or simply leave. IMO, any of those choices is unfortunate, but I don't see the future being any different here. Now, I'm curious as to who among those offensive posters will respond to this post, when my only attempt is to recognize and lament about a place that I believe could offer much more.
Report it. That's what the webmaster says to do, and I have been. Including that one. He sees them, and responds. If enough people report someone, they get restricted.
It's absolutly correct, what you say, but I am tired of claiming it again and again. I avoid to make new friendships and to post, except I see something that is really interesting or important to me. I try to be only concentrated on the people I know from the past yrs that I appreciate. They are fewer and fewer, but that's good for me on the other hand, because then sometimes this forum will be a foreign place to me- no reason to come back anymore.
I did as well, and I'd encourage others to do the same. You're either part of the solution, or part of the problem, IMO.
