I have yet to hear a single Rick Ross song.

I've also never (knowingly) heard a Neyo song; heard one Trey Songz the "It's ya birthday" one and it was terrible.

    Must be getting old.

There is no way you could be listening to any urban radio stations then...

I do but L.A. has several "urban" radio stations, three that I've counted which play to the younger set. There are three other urban stations that play classic R&B and hip-hop from 1978 to the mid-90s or so.

And they never play Rick Ross, interesting...I'd also go as far as saying you don't listen to Internet radio, sirius, etc...

Not at all. I do a lot of downloading and might grab something from a younger artist if I think it's unique enough like Janelle Monae, who gets no radio play here.

I'm sure those stations that appeal to younger listeners (15-25) play Rick Ross and I may have heard something in passing without being aware who the artist was. It's amazing, black radio has never been this dominant before. When I was a kid, there were two stations tops that played black music; now it is everywhere.

Of course that fat mufucka's heart stopped. His greasy corncob ass weighs almost a quarter ton.

Why am I gonna pray for another thug rapper exploiting and glamorizing social dysfunction in the Black community??

Gangsta rap is the life blueprint of 90% of incarcerated BM, to the point many ASPIRE to serve prison time.

Tell that fat ass to jump in a coffin and close the lid.:smt077

The people some of yall put on a pedestal.smh

This is true not just of Rick Ross and gangsta rap, so point the finger at the messengers...

I have to agree. We should pray that he stays alive. If he comes out of this alive afterwards, he needs to quit rapping and create a project to improve the black community across America instead.

Quality got trade for quantity it seems.

I don't wish death on anyone, so I hope he comes out alright. Not a big fan of bad/gangster-hop either, but Rick Ross' stuff is pretty catchy, and I'm about as 'gangsta' as an Econ textbook.

He won't have much time to live. At the most estimated time? Seven months to a year and then...he's dead and gone.
