You know that Obama doesn't personally oversee the DEA and U.S. Border patrol??

Those agencies have their own federal budgets and directors and they pursue their OWN departmental agenda.

The Oval Office might send a general directive to the DEA and Border Patrol, such as 'find a way to strategically infiltrate and disrupt the operations of the Mexican drug cartels operating along the U.S. border'.
How that directive is implemented is independent for the most part from the WH and DOJ.

Yes if they fuck up, as in selling hundreds of weapons to Mexican cartels as a part of a failed( or not) sting operation, the responsibility for that incompetence ultimately rests on the desk of the Attorney General and the POTUS.

But the DEA and U.S. Border Patrol have been some of THE most corrupt federal agencies since before BHO ever took office.

Let's not act as if Obama is directly involved in some conspiracy to sell weapons and provide material support to drug cartels.:smt028:smt068
