Which Would You Choose

If you are stuck on an island in the South Pacific and you can have only one book, one album, and one movie for an entire year what would it be (you have an ipod touch or android device that can play music and make movies viewable)
    You're also allowed one tool.

For me it would be a book of Grim Fairy Tales, Jay-Z's Black Album, and The Matrix.
As far as a tool I would choose a machete.

    Book - Inferno by Dante

    Movie - 13th Warrior

Album - Closer by Josh Groban ( I usually only listen to music if I'm working out or need to relax, I suspect I'd get plenty of exercise stranded on an island, so I'd opt for relaxing/meditative music. But if I wanted workout type music I'd choose Linkin Park.)

Tool - Leatherman Surge, black oxide finish (technically that's considered 1 tool)

You didn't mention whether I'm stranded there permanently, or if it would be temporary. If it's permanent for the remainder of my life, my book choice would change, but the others would stay the same. Of course music and movies will be temporary regardless, unless you have a way to charge that device.

I did Esp. For an entire year. What's a Surge?
Good choice on the music and book. I hated 13th Warrior though

Sorry, I totally glossed right over the year part. In that case, I'd change my book to a botany guide so I would know which plants are edible, poisonous, or have medicinal purposes.

I love 13th Warrior for the sarcasm, it's a nice combo of humor and action for me. Plus the prayer right before the final battle I find particularly lovely & inspiring.

    A Surge is a multi-tool: http://www.leatherman.com/product/Surge%20Black

Book - A Time for Being Human (or the Bible)
Album - no favorite. Would have to be a smooth jazz mixed tape.
    Movie - Top Gun
Tool - well, there's this guy I know...

That's kind of what I was thinking. A Prince CD I burned myself with all my faves would be ideal.

My book would be the LOTR Trilogy box set. LOL. (All 3 books would last me an entire year).

My album: Not sure, probably Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon".

My movie: this is such a hard one. There are so many I could watch over and over....I'll say The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

My tool: since I don't really know how to use any tools, LOL, I can't think of what I would want: maybe a gun.

Book: 100 years of solitude, Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Album: Dark Side of the Moon, Pink Floyd
Movie:Cannonball Run (must have something completely silly to laugh at)
Tool: Tough one.. machete (tough choice between that and a leather-man)
Is there wild dangerous animals on the island??
