Y'all just don't get it!!! People want and are drawn to different things! This thread we have "old" haters, in another thread we have the "fat haters." And you men have rhe nerve to complain when BW give you a hard time that you like WW - where is this any different? Get over it - there are younger BM that like older WW. There are BM who prefer thick women. There's someone for everyone, even your childish behind. Go after what you want and leave other people alone. Enough already!

In his defense he was talking about one particular member who is usually just plain full of shit.
And Ches let's be real. Does it make sense at all that a professional athlete would by pass women who are younger and more attractive for a woman who is grandmother age? And remember this is based on sight alone, they know nothing about her personality.
It's about as believable as a Miss America contestant going for fat balding plumber. It doesn't add up and not only that shit would be all over some gossip blog based on the wtf factor alone.

Except that you're assuming relationships are built on how close the woman is to the media accepted ideal. People watching is built on that, relationships - not so much.

I'm not defending or undefending professional athletes etc. I'm just saying that relationships for grown up people are built on a lot more than what turns your head on the street.

 

The main thing I will say about this and I have mentioned it before is white women who all their lives have dealt with white men, then at a latter age they figure out that they are attracted to black men and act on it.

That always strikes me as very odd. All your life you have loved white men then all of a sudden you figure hey I like black guys now. How can that not be perplexing when examined.

Were they too good early on in their life to be involved with a black man, were they too afraid of what people in their social circles might say, what is the deal about that mindset.

Surely it has to raise questions, all your life you have been about white men, so how come the sudden interest in black men would be my question in these situations.

In the end to each their own, but it would be like me being interested in black women all my life and then I one day figure out hey I like white women.

I like White women but I know that there can be some really screwed up white women out there.

 

DK, I will refer you back to a comment Pixie made at one point, that today's 50 isn't the 50 of yesteryear. And you know what? Some young men have the fantasy of being with an older woman (American Pie). So, yeah, a professional athlete might just find an attractive older woman alluring, especially if sex is all he wants.

Another note: women are becoming grandmothers in their 30's these days. And most of you guys aren't far from that age yourself.

I think we should re-name this board WWBMSmackdown.

My assumption is they go along with the status quo but reach a point in their lives where they forego that mindset. Why who knows.

I feel we can have open and honest discussions on subjects, even touchy one's, that is part of the forum.

Its not going to stop people from liking what they like in the real world.

Its just a dialogue on this subject matter.

I can see how this could be perplexing and perhaps insulting, but here's how it is for me. I grew up in a entirely white environment, the daughter of parents who forbade me to date black men. They believed (and still do,) that like should only mix with like. (And therein lies the problem, imo, with this whole old/young, thick/thin thing. We tend to like order and sameness. But we would call my parents closed-minded, no? Well, I would call those who think only young should attract young, and thin should only attract thin, etc, closed-minded as well. But I digress.) If I had any attraction to BM then (which I did), I was afraid to act on it. I was a bit of a rebel then, but I knew not to take it that far. So, like a good girl, I married a white man. When I found myself single again, I didn't have those restrictions on me any longer. My parents still disapprove, but I am an adult, not living under their roof, who can now make her own dating choices.
