Obama to Blacks: "I Need Your Help"

    college types are supposed to be more understanding and deliberate in our exchanges, aware of what we're given and what other people have or may not have.

    I am paying taxes dude. It wasn't a walk in the park to get a degree. It shouldn't be a case where I dedicated and even now am paying for something and the people who chose to not go to college or pick the wrong major or w/e should get it.

    We'll have to agree to disagree here. I can't say much but politically, we (or maybe just I) don't have a choice. I would prefer a strong independent candidate to run for office in 2012 (not Ron Paul), but a viable person is not there.

    The polls over at RCP currently show Obama edging out the Republicans in swing states like Ohio and Pennsylvania. For me, there's no choice but to vote for Obama. The other option would be to not vote at all and that can't work.

    I'll be voting for a Democratic president, a Democratic senator, and a Democrat in my congressional house district. Taxes need to be raised on the wealthy now and income inequality is one of the most important things that needs to be addressed so we can combat the recession effectively.

    All I see is Me, myself, and I...oh and MY parents. That's exactly what I'm talking about...if you were not so self involved like ME, you would actually help yourself out and others...I run my own small company that employes African Americans as well as other minorities. I'm looking out for ME, my fam, friends and others lol

    Obama is not a great president, he's a great politician. No more no less.

    If you vote Democrat then you're voting for the spineless. If you vote Republican then you're voting for the clueless.

    If you vote Tea Party then you need to be waterboarded.

    Obama's job approval just hit a new low according to a Gallup poll.

    39%

    Hopefully he can push it back into the lower and upper 40s for the rest of the year.

    The only issue that's holding this country and it's economy hostage is the decriminalization of marijuana. America needs to move forward, not backwards. Personally I don't see either one of those parties as being all that progressive.

    Vote independent if and when a worthy candidate runs.... or:

    "...That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

    It seems like the Independent candidates can never really make themselves heard. They don't generate enough support to be serious contenders. But maybe if we get sick enough of either of the major parties, voting Independent might become more favorable.

    I always dread election time. I get so weary of the mud-slinging and, of course, no candidate is going to have my total support. No matter how closely his/her ideals match mine, there's always something I disagree with or can't whileheartedly support.

    The Independent candidates don't get heard because they get out-spent...they don't have the corporate funding.

    Ok, that makes sense. In the last election, I voted for what I thought was the lesser of two evils. I didn't consider even thinking about voting Independent because I felt like my vote would have been wasted because they never stand a chance.

    You could look at it as taking a vote away for someone. And the trick is...see their political views. So it's not all that bad.
