Hey,what part of the UK are you from Brighton or Liverpool?

 

Neither, Im from Cardiff.. Why do you ask, you have friends in those places?

 

Welcome! The name is obviously Welsh. I'm giving deep consideration to relocating to Cardiff from the states if I can work it out.

 

Yes got it in one, thought a welsh name would be pretty damn unique on a site like this Im not a Welsh speaker haha, Spanish is my thing :smt007

If you need any advice about Cardiff and other places nearby just let me know. I've lived here most of my life so I know it like the back of my hand.

How did you end up learning Spanish instead of Welsh in Cardiff?

I thought Welsh was mandatory in schools for a certain number of years in Wales.

 

It was up until a certain age whilst I was in school. I think it is for the whole of high school though. I was born in London so I'm English truth be told. Just live behind enemy lines lol.

I took up Spanish because I just love it :heart: never was happy being able to speak just one language. I have one on one lessons with a tutor. French and Italian are next.

So are you from Wales originally?

 

No, but most of my ancestors were British, Welsh and Scots. My mother's side of the family, centuries ago, owned a couple of castles along the Welsh border - they were marcher lords and married on both sides of the border.

My dad's parents were from Glastonbury and London.
