I'm going to spend a ridiculous amount of time, in the next 5 days, playing Sims 2. Yes...my holiday starts now!

A man wearing daisy dukes is a scary & nauseating sight. :smt087

    With...or without the bulge?

    Ewwwww...........

If a man is wearing daisy dukes, the bulge is immaterial.

Hahaha, true...you're more likely to see his nuts dangling from the left side of the daisy dukes than a bulge that may resemble a close up of a fly.

I'm actually not far from it, but it's not from this gross bit of convo.

I've been dealing with some serious asthma/allergy & pain issues lately. I had a bad reaction to the pain meds the doctorprescribed & the assholes still haven't called something else in to the pharmacy like they said they would. The pain is so bad, it's making me extremely sick to my stomach. I'd rather have migraine pain than this shit. I'm tempted to self-medicate & drink until I pass out.

Tam, I am so very sorry. I hope you feel better soon, and that the doctor does his job! Small tip - I have a lot of trouble with nausea and pain meds, so I take Prilosec & toast with them

Thanks, Pixie. I don't get why folks that work in clinics are so friggin' difficult. He & I discussed the possibility of the pain meds bothering my stomach, & he told me to call back if they did to get something else. I suspect that the assholes who work for him haven't even bothered to look into it or even ask him. His regular nurse is a power-tripping hag.

He told me to take Prilosec & toast or crackers with it to hopefully prevent any issues, but it didn't help much. It was like I had lava in my stomach. The nausea is as much from the pain as it was the medicine. I'm hurting so badly, it's making me sick. I opted for a non-narcotic so I could stay awake at work, but now I say bring on the Vicodin.

With vicodin I take two prilosec and at least two pieces of toast, or take it right after a meal. Then I try to stay reasonably still, and I'm usually ok with it.

I tend to do better with codeine than I do with the other stuff, but I think that's because it tends to knock me out. I know you understand when I say that it's miserable enough to have to need it in the first place without having to deal with its side effects. It would be wonderful to have at least one day free from pain, but I don't even remember what that's like anymore.

nurses can be difficult to deal with......especially cardiac ones:cool:

as for my docs, getting prescription over the phones is a nightmare. They never call my pharmacy or do anything reasonably associated with their job duties, unless I go to the office in person with my angry black man swag.

A lot of the nurses I've come across over the years seem to have an attitude.

I had one incident a few years ago right after I hurt my back where he told me if the pain med wasn't strong enough, call & he'd get me something stronger. When I called, his regular nurse was off so I had to deal with another one. That bitch basically accused me of being a dope head trying to get a narcotic fix. She flat out refused to refer to my file or ask the doctor about it. I could barley walk, but I paid her a little visit to discuss that accusation.

Sometimes showing up in person is what it takes to get it done. If the pharmacy doesn't have it in the morning, I'll have to take my angry self up there for a visit. It's frustrating when they think they know better than the doctor does. I guess they just like to feel like they're running something.

    lol

i came across a few in my time. Not sure what the problem is, after all they got good paying jobs, benefits, responsibility, some prestige etc. They should be humble in that alone. Coming off like that to civilians is a no no.
