Hip hop heads I need to know what you guys think. I'm thinking of working with these kids. Still a little undecided.

Some weak fratboy rap, but white kids eat that shit up.

What do you mean "work with them?"

Make some beats. Book a venue for them.

It's aiight I guess, nothing really spectacular about them at all. The flow was average and the beat was subpar in my opinion.

I probably wouldn't ever play it on the ipod so I'd give it a thumbs-down.[IMG]

You appreciate what ? People talking shit ?

I produce hip hop myself and I don't make music according to what spectators think, I make music based on what will work best with the artists who hire me.

I guage how well they're received too. I don't have much time these days and I don't want to invest time in kids who don't can't build a buzz

I wasn't too impressed. I don't like cursing but even without the cursing I wasn't impressed. however, I'm not exactly gifted in choosing successful artist.

Those artist need money to pay you. You don't work for free, do you?
It is a capitalistic world. You know how it works.

Do it and I actually like the beat but the MC is straight out of karaoke night.

The bar is so low for mainstream musical success that it doesn't require artistic genius to produce a hit act.

It's not that bad but, not something I'd buy. I agree it's kind of average.

Lets forget interscope. You sure you want to use youtube as the exception. They are a huge advertising machine now. You can barely watch a video without the advertisement.
If you have the same amount of money youtube has .... can I have hundred thousand?

Not bad, I actually liked it. Not really on the lyrical level but it makes me think about Lupe, or Nerd....good shit.

that's the direction that hip hop is going......sot of pop-rap. I dig it. Hip Hop is trying hard to find a different voice but the Negro wants to keep it "hood" and "mediocre"

Ka'an, Lupe, and others comping up trying to give Hip Hop a different flavor.
