A fighter has to be alert, so I can't blame Mayweather for capitalizing. But I've never seen a fight end like that.
Only one person in that fight did what was he supposed to do and that was Floyd Mayweather. Headbutting, biting, kicking, punching below the belt, pulling out a gun, stabbing, pepper spraying, and other potential forms of offense are not allowed in American boxing. You can't even headbutt in UFC and that's a relative free-for-all in comparison to boxing. After the headbutt I don't what the fuck Ortiz had in mind with the love fest. You apologize once then get back into your defensive stance. ALWAYS protect yourself. Why are you looking at the ref after taking a punch to the face? That's how you get knocked out. Anyone with a respectable eye for boxing knows that Ortiz was going to lose anyway. Joe Cortez should've also taken control of the fight after deducting the point from Ortiz. What the fuck was he looking at outside of the ring, the ring girl's titties?
i wont doubt the skill of mayweather, but that was a bitch move that goes to show you that all he cares about is a payday (win), and not the honor, integrity and desire for a good fight displayed among true warriors
Fam that dude was headbutting where was the honor police. Mayweather did the equivilence of "hey your shoes are untied" and dude fell for it. Valuable lesson to all the dudes fighting out there. Don't stop until you hear the damn bell. Hands up eyes focused.
lmao didnt see the fight but c'mon cheapshots are a no no, unless you want a reputation as a dirty fighter
The first punch...Mayweather stole... it was immediately after the 'courtesy hug' The second punch, Ortiz just stood there and didn't react. He just looked at the ref waiting to get bailed out. Huh? What are you doing? Waiting for him to throw a flurry of punches before you decide to react? Step back, put your hands up after getting that face tapped the first time, then complain to the official. I didn't understand that part on. Besides, the headbutting and jumping into him was so childish. He really has no one to blame but himself.
First rule I mean the very first thing they tell you when walk into the door at my dojo is always keep your eye on the person/people you're fighting. That shit can cost you way more than just a title fight.
I love how the fight ended in pandemonium. Classic drama boxing. Reminds me of the Tyson-era. Mayweather says at the end of the fight he would be willing to do a re-match.
lmao I remember taking TKD and having the guy tell us to keep our eyes on our opponent as we bowed. I get upset when i watch a movie where guys bow to each other, heads AND eyes down to the ground. back to the mayweather thing tho, I know as a fighter I wouldn't take advantage of someone that wasn't ready for the round in an organized fight. If a guy's fixing his GI for example, im not going to shoot for double and throw him on his back for some quick points. That just goes against all my training. In the streets tho, fuck it. Got a crowbar for yo ass.
yeah youtube be ghostin' videos left and right if they ever pass that law that holds people accountable for linking to copyrighted shit on youtube, it's gunna hurt
Seeing that headbutt again which was INTENTIONAL, Ortiz got exactly what he deserved. One sucker move deserves another!!lol:roll: WOnder if they rematch??
If you didn't see the fight, then don't comment. Ortiz was way out of line. He was leading with his head every time that he had Mayweather up against the ropes, then went all out after Mayweather hurt him at the beginning of the last round. Look at that shit. He could have ended Mayweather's career if he'd hit Floyd in the nose or eye socket. After that, he spent damn near 30 seconds trying to play the nice by touching gloves, hugging and even kissing Mayweather on the cheek. Dude wanted to do anything in there but keep fighting. Ortiz didn't even complain after he got counted out. Fact is, Floyd was starting to light him up, and "Vicious" Victor was looking for a way out. He's a mentally weak quitter, and he ain't never going to amount to shit no matter how much Fishnets De La Hoya and HBO hype him up.
Why didn't you show the flying headbutt that started the whole thing??????????????????????? Ortiz was out of control and should have been DQ'd. He was ignoring the ref and didn't deserve any sportsmanship from Mayweather.
No rematch needed or deserved. Pacman should man-up and take the tests and the ass whipping that goes along with it.
Ortiz got what he had coming to him for that chickenshit move. There's no need for a rematch. He lost & that's all there is to it IMO.
