Exactly. How many times have you seen a corny dude with a hot girl and said wtf or in my case "lord this gives me hope". It happens. After all the smooth and laid back dudes keep shittin on some of these women like being with a guy who will openly tell them they're into them instead of" keeping them on their toes"

If a woman likes/loves you, she wants a SINCERE gesture or expression of your feelings, not some narcissistic super cool pose.

'Keeping it real' is more important than looking smooth in front of your boyz!!

    That said, arrgh!!!
That shit was soooooo corny I had a difficult time even watching it!!lol:rolleyes:

    funny you'd say that

i know a few where I work that really get turned off by guy's that try to impress them all the time. they'd rather you just be yourself, so that they know the real you

Girls who talk like that aren't the focus of any of the dudes on this board nor do any of the women act like that brotha.
That immature ghetto shit is exactly why those same exact chicks find themselves pushing a baby carriage alone while the "cool" guy is bangin their homegirl.

LOL. unfortunely you are halfway right. (may not be halfway). the thing is women are funny at times. that was a lot of pressure to put on old gurl. think on it. how many dudes you see in the news to propose marriage to a woman in a baseball stadium or at a basketball game with the scoreboard on em and everyone at that event is watching for her response ? worn out move anyway.

lets be honest most women dont like that shit. you think its cute because your ass is at the game and all of the sudden you want to be romeo9killed two birds with one stone mindset). shiiiiited fool. half the time or most of the time they say yes and diss your ass later because they didnt want to embarrass your ass.

One woman had the guts to tell dude "NO" in front of millions and it was all over the web and TV. the reason she said no..... who knows. the anchor woman who commented sided with her saying "it wasnt romantic and putting her on the spot was nice. we want private and romantic ...yada yada yada"

dude white women and black women are the same. you better have your moth piece in order and your act together before you make a move. shit like this only work in the movies

Like I said before a lot of that shit is age sensitive. I don't care how much some of these bitter broads want to front. When they were younger they would have thought that shit was sweet or something to laugh about with their friends especially if it were from a guy they liked. Young women LOVE attention. Its like other points in our lives that were awesome when we were young but wouldn't be now. Prom night, getting drunk until you're sick, taking ridiculous chances. Its really a beautiful thing and as corny as it sounds I am brave enough to be corny my friend. Like the saying goes you miss 100% of the shots you never take. And if you can bet big why not?

i gave a card with a really long and gushy message in it to a girl in high school. How did she react? She was ecstatic and told everyone about it. She said yes, btw (to go on the prom) :D

I did the sang in Applebees for this chick I really liked and got a standing ovation and head in the car. I was 23 at the time but I stand by the fact that corny works.

I never stated dont shoot your shot. the point is like anyone who teaches in speech class..."know your audience" then you can properly proceed.

Those are the card we keep! Forever! Unless our husband makes ups throw them out, we LOVE pulling out the old shoebox and taking trips down memory lane once in a while. I bet she still does! :smt060

If a guy wasn't a singer but still sang for me -that takes such balls! :smt003 How can any chick find fault in that?!? There are sooo many things to down a man for..that ain't one of them. Priorities, I tell ya, lol!

I still think about her from time to time

I'll never forget that...it was one of the few occasions where I just had ti write down my feelings to let a girl know what she meant to me

Not fronting, and not bitter. I just hate being made the center of attention in that sort of way and always have. It's embarrassing. If I want to be the center of attention, I'll be on a stage, playing a character other than myself. I'm good at that, but then it's the character getting the attention, not the Pixie.

I hate that kind of display but it has to do with feeling like I'm being put on the spot, and that I don't like being pushed into the spotlight without having chosen to be there. Admittedly, I've always been a control freak :)

I wasn't going to watch it, but I did, and I thought it was cool on all fronts.

Fair enough. Would you have felt the same way at 22 though?

Yes, I did, and would have felt the same at 15. I loved dancing and acting and modeling, but all of those allowed me 1. Control and 2. To be someone else when I was in the spotlight.

I'm the woman at the party hiding behind the potted plant with a ginger ale because she's so uncomfortable she's nauseated and can't drink :)
