I was watching this as the morning news shows top story and "how will Sarah respond" and frankly it makes me sick. In essense they are saying that her having sex with a a man in college...who is "stop the presses" a Black man, is a dirty secret like it's some married politician caught with a hooker or cruising for gay sex in a bathroom, who says he's straight.

Why don't they sensationalize her other college sexual conquests? What if dude was a Republican - will that shut them up?"

Is like the liberal press is trying to racially "taint" her, much like the muslims do when they a daughter isnt a virgin and they banish her. This is insulting the Black man to no end here, in their process to vilify her. (I hope to God all the Republican women are creaming their pants with envy at Sarah getting a good dickdown by that man)

(And God knows my friends know how much I dislike Sarah, they'd be shocked Im defending her.)

 

This doesn't surprise me at all as politics has always been about trying to exploit any weakness, whether truthful or not, whether central to their fitness for office or not, IF any such disclosures might reflect badly upon the candidate among voters.

It's really no different than the ploys used against Obama like, the "birther" issue, his admission to grad. school, his religious beliefs, tangential associations at points in his life.

The conservative press has used code words throughout his presidency to point to his ethnicity as being the reason for the state of affairs in the country. I certainly find much of that conduct insulting to Black Americans as well.

I also wouldn't be too quick to blame this on the liberal press. I wouldn't put it past those in opposing Republican camps to "taint' the darling of the tea party.

 

It's also insulting to women to suggest that they are somehow "tainted" by having a one night stand. Who the hell cares who she slept with 25 years ago, and what business is it of anyone else's?

I can't stand the woman, but come on people, that a college woman had a one night stand is neither titillating nor newsworthy. That she had that one night stand with a black man - to comment on that is outright racism as well.

 

Absolutely - the Rethuglican clown car is *FULL* of candidates and operatives *known* for dirty tricks. Drumming up some copy about Palin takes the heat and light off their pathetic performances in the recent debate.

 

Well I guess that's what incenses me - that it's even used as fodder a being a "weakness".

With Obama, I don't think I've ever seen it worse where one party wants to see our country destroyed, so that their party may rise from the ashes.

I see what you mean about blaming the liberal press, but if I fully accept that its more than likely the Repubs putting this out there to destroy her, then the press is their puppet.

 

I dont quite see it that they are insulting her for having sex in college - after all she was sexing her white soon-to-be husband in college too....If so, the lead-in story would be "Sarah had sex in college"..They KEEP it all in one sentence; 'Sarah's sexual encounter with African American _____.
It reeks of the so-called salacious notion of yester-year that a white woman fucking a Black man somehow taints her vagina, marking it no longer worthy of a white man's peepee penis. Is anyone falling for this bullshit attempt? Please tell me no. Pleassse.

 

Most college students are having a string of one night stands, though. It is more the norm than not.
