Then we agree, it's about personal choices, and not something that occurs as a function of the "nature of things".

there are a lot of men put in the trixk bag. so being a sugar daddy would be a stretched if they were always in the strip club. I mean honestly what real man after 24 goes to a strip club. wait wait for it........a trick and a potential sugar daddy.

    But is it wrong tho

It doesn't matter if she is carrying debt from college loans that she's taken out to attend UCLA medical school with an eye towards becoming a doctor to poor and malnourished children in the Horn of Africa, or simply wants the money for coach bags and Manolo Blahniks. If the agreement between the main actors is on the up and up, then that alone should suffice.

    Well said.

Okay, then. But I think those actions that she carries out lead to a greater likelihood of failure in the relationship earlier. I think it makes sense for me to assume that would be the case.

Secondly, the article stated that one of the girls only got $350 from the guy. Let's assume that she's $27,000 in debt (which is typically the average amount). Most of that debt has to be paid off through having sex. Lets assume $22,000. Then, we can also say she gets an average of $500 from each guy involved. $22,000 / by $500 = 44. She would have to have sex with around 44 men to successfully pay off the debt.

44 is a big number. That alarms me.

Other than health concerns (and lets assume a college educated woman isn't a fool and doesn't take risks with her health), what's alarming about that to you?
Intimidating? Fear of not measuring up?

    I don't get it.

    Not exactly.

Youth and beauty in a female represents fertility, something that can be acquired for a price. This partially reflects the socially constructed distribution of wealth in civil societies, but also an implicit logic that bears a very strong relationship to the instincts of human reproduction.

The latter would not be as strong a variable here, because the main actors are less likely to make babies, but certain background assumptions are key to understanding how it all works.

Again, well said. No, I would *not* want a sugar daddy, but I'm fiercely independent and like having my own money I don't have to answer to anyone for.

But not all women are me.

Essentially, when you toss out all the evo-psych assumptions here, what's under this is that men like to fuck beautiful young women, and are willing to pay for it.

We went over something like this during a math class I took in the Fall of 2009. She said something along the lines that it was okay for guys to have sex with plenty of girls but not okay for girls to have sex with plenty of guys.

Who said that, and why? That's certified bull hockey right there. Why is it ok for men to screw around and not women?

And if it isn't ok for women to fuck around, who are the men sleeping with??

Then, we do differ in our opinions as I don't think that such issues enter in the decision of men seeking sex for payment. In fact, that would suggest that these women would be most sought after. However, I believe most men, given the resources, would PREFER the company of a slightly more mature escort, who knows her way around a bedroom. Satisfaction is a much stronger drive, IMO, than banging a "young" body.

So, those background assumptions have little to do with the transaction, IMO.

A friend of mine, who is currently going through a divorce, found out during her marriage her husband was "cheating" with sugar babies. He is a bi-polar psycho as diagnosed by a Dr. He lacks some of the necessary function to make real relationships and he therefore looks for love in the wrong places and without commintments.

He has been swindled by a bunch of these women and has lost a job over it after he ran up a $5000 company credit card bill trying to keep these women happy. A lot of them don't want sex they just want stuff, dinner and vacations. My friend had stumbled on her ex's sugardaddy.com account while they were married and she showed me the things these women ask for. One asked for an apartment to live in through college.

It's kind of a sick concept but hey to each his own

Given that I am neither wealthy nor looking to make the acquaintance of a women seeking a benefactor, I won't draw any firm conclusions about the preferences of most men who meet the aforementioned qualifications.

I do think that I'm on firm ground in believing that the arrangement between Elliot Spitzer and Ashley Dupré, for example, is typical of such pairings.

    I don't believe that.

Another quote for you to look at.
If the trend were to continue, eventually, people would begin to realize that there is no value in learning since it's unattainable due to costs, unemployment, a poor economy, etc. America would have no productivity going for its self. The country could fall into a third-world status.

I think because Paniro is a conservative he would be OK with sugar daddies because it would spawn the economy and the girls would be able to afford their own healthcare and it is capitolism at its best.

They already realize this, that the cost of education and the accumulation of debt is a limiting factor in who gets higher education and for what purpose.

I think holding a handful of young women responsible (and what about the men who willingly hand over the cash) for America falling into 3rd world status is hysterical over reaching.

I am also willing to guess that both comments were made by men - again men who are what's known as "concern trolls" - really their problem is that someone is getting young pussy when they arent, to put it bluntly.
