England-Manchester United Spain- Real Madrid Italy-AC Milan Germany- Bayern Munich France- FCGB But my favorite team of all is the Los Angeles Galaxy
I don't watch impostor football, but I do remember this is my father in-law and brother in-laws favorite team.
My teams in La Liga (Deportivo La Coruña) and England (Leeds United) won't see a championship in my lifetime (and maybe my son's), so I root for Barca or Valencia and Chelsea, Everton, Fulham or Tottenham, depending on who's playing. Jaisee, say it isn't so? Come on, man, at least they actually use their feet.
There are so many arguments that American football is just for pansies and that rugby is the real man's game and vice versa. Then there is the argument about Rugby League being better than Rugby Union. So many arguments, football is different than american football and rugby is different than american football. All have differing talents and expertise. Still, each one to their views I say. Football (not american football) is the sport I like to watch and was on cloud 9 with Manchester United's annihilation of Arsenal. It will be an interesting year, one thinks.
That's good that you know what the NFL is. Really should be the National Throwball League. (I'm a fan of all sports but it makes me laugh when someone calls Footy/Soccer- "impostor football". Ridiculous).
I follow every league. MLS fan since year one. The league growth is lovely to see, from where it started out and where they are now. Scary thing for the leagues like the MFL and other South American leagues is that there's still a ways to go and the MLS WILL get there.
I'm a committed Thierry Henry fan so whenever he plays for the Red Bulls New York it's sleepless nights for me because in Germany where I live it is night when they play. Luckily he is now playing for 8 weeks at his beloved Arsenal FC and I'm planning on flying to London to see him play if I get tickets. So for the EPL it would be Arsenal that I support. There's a nice new TH fan site out which is worth looking at: www.thierryhenry14.net I'm addicted to the beautiful game and can't wait for the European Championships 2012 in Poland and Ukraine Germany = HSV (Hamburger Sportverein) Spain = Real madrid Italy = Juventus Turin
I love Thierry also. I didn't get to go last year when Red bull played here as I was out of town. Sigh. This year they play at NY. That is a great site.
LOL! They're not all that bad, but there are some real Academy Award Winners out there! I like several MLS teams as well: Toronto, the Houston Dynamo and the New England Revolution, and the obvious faves NY Red Bulls and the LA Galaxy.
I'm a diehard Arsenal and by extension Thierry Henry fan. When he was in his prime at Arsenal it was a beautiful thing to watch him on the field scoring goals. I'm a bit leery of his short term return for the 2 months while some other players are going to the African Cup of Nations. I don't really know what he has left at this point to play in the EPL. Hope its enjoyable but I'm not getting too worked up, just hope he can make a contribution in some capacity to help Arsenal get into the Champions League next season by finishing top 4 in the standings, we are currently 5th, 1pt behind Chelsea.
Smart fräulein indeed smurf. Arsenal already has German international Per Mertesacker in defense and there is talk they will try to get Lukas Podolski from Cologne in the upcoming transfer window. Looking forward to Euro 2012 as well in Poland - Ukraine.
that's what I'm hoping for as well. Expectations seem to be high concerning his return. But, oh well, it's the return of the king... one goal (per game... at least) to rule them all! I don't know either what he has left. Isn't the youngest anymore (at the ripe age of 34!) but still pretty fast and simply a joy to watch. Such a joy! I wish I could say I was too young to have been able to follow him at Arsenal at his prime. It took a while for me to appreciate him especially since he was a pain in the as* for Fabien Barthez during his ManU times. A goalkeeper I totally like and followed during his EPL years. Oh well, I am mentally preparing myself for the victory of the German team at the European Championships because we both know it can't be any other way! IF they survive the group stage that is. Such a tough group. Too bad, TH resigned from the French team.
