The more I read and hear about Oprah the more I pray for the millions who worship her, idolize her, deify her and blindly follow her. Worship Jesus Christ only. Have no idols.

EXODUS 20:4-6 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

End Christophobia. Stand up for Jesus. Christians come out of the closet.

It's Oprah's business if she wanted to fire her cousin. Religion has no business in the workplace, or in schools. If you are going to create what amounts to a harassing situation on the part of the evangelical Christian who wouldn't shut up about Jesus, then she has to be let go. Simple as that.

You're being ridiculous, Bradin. Yes, people really have strong admiration for someone like Oprah, but because she fired her own cousin for irritating the hell out of her with Christianity 24/7, I can definitely see why she fired her. She's not hating her cousin for believing in Christianity. She's irritated that her cousin keep spewing nonsense out of her, especially under very inappropriate times. There's such a thing as keeping your faith to yourself and that's not suppression of your faith at all.

Really, it's a nonsense situation and the cousin should have known better than to act an ass in front of someone who don't share the same views.

How am I being ridiculous, BBW? This couldn't be more clearer than it is already. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, I will not be silence nor hide anything like I'm being hiding in the closet!

Paranoia and nonsense is all you have driving your head, Bradin. If you were to be silenced, you would have been dead a long time ago.

I'm not going to have another heated argument with you, BBW. I'm not ashamed of Jesus Christ, that he's my Lord and Savior. Anyway, again, I'm not being ridiculous.

I never said you were ashamed. But people like yourself often undermine and don't respect other people's space by espousing your personal beliefs to them without their permission. That's disrespectful in of itself.

There's nothing "foul" about my comment. Being silenced for your beliefs would require someone to kill you. Anything else is pure paranoia and overly exaggerated claims.

    So he's yours, doesn't mean he's everyone's.

nc...i think it's great that you have found jesus...not everyone wants to talk about religion...nor do they want to be schooled in religion...oprah like many others is running a business not a church...pushing your beliefs on others can/will be considered bible thumping...keep that in mind as you post;)

    Agreed.

In my opinion, religion has no place anywhere except in the heads and homes of those who want it. Leave everyone else alone. One of the most disrespectful things you can do is shove your religion in someone's face. :smt018

I am a Christian and i believe in the Lord Jesus Christ but i am always sceptical about people who drop the name Jesus in almost EVERY statement they make

I have met people like that and it makes me wonder if they think people won't realize they are Christians unless they announce it every minute or two. If your heart and actions don't speak for your Christianity then something is wrong.

NC I think the same laws that protect you in the workplace protect the non Christians. Everyone should be free to earn a living without harrassment of any kind. I am sure Oprah had reasons other than Christianity for firing her. Oprah herself talks of being a Christian which is why to me this is sensationalized and well..........suspect.

Bradin lives in North Carolina, and let me tell you- I'll put $100 down on the fact that he's part of a Southern Baptist Church. That's how those people talk...it's actually insane. The born again Christians that come out of those churches are so crazy that they actually scare me. I came across my fair share of Southern Baptists living in Charlotte, and woo nelly. No thank you ever again. lol

My mom is a Southern Baptist. :( Having me is trying to her to say the least. :p I tried that route til I was 17 and then I got up and said I am not going to church anymore if we have to go there. Shudders. The whole family then switched to non denominational and live happily ever after. My mom has since gone back to Southern Baptist but she is ok with the rest of us hating that church and refusing to go with her, including her husband who is Catholic.

So do you consider yourself Christian, Catholic, whatever?

Or do you choose not to abide by the ways of a practicing religion?

Christian. When I go here the church I go to is non denominational.

Only my mom's husband is Catholic. (My mom is remarried. So he is not my birth father. My dad died fairly young of car accident injuries.)

And my mom can have her So. Baptist. I had enough to last my lifetime of that. Don't need anymore. :p
