According to a select few men on here (though I believe they aren't posting anymore), if a woman is over 25, you may as well put her out to pasture.

    LOL.

I worked with a photographer like that once. He refused to shoot any model over 22, because according to him they all looked like "hags" after that age.

I often joke about stereotypes and make sarcastic remarks but it's all in jest. :smt048

    That is insane.

It's no wonder that women go under the knife to look younger all the time, and lie about their age, etc. It's statements like that, that can get to women if they're heard over and over and over again.

It's a shame that women can't just be women, no matter what age. No, we all have to be 21 and never age past that, but men, well, we all know THAT double standard. :smt091

You're right. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to come off like that. Men have it so hard. I forgot. Silly me. ;-)

How ironic that those who are the most delusional don't understand the depth of their psychoses...

That's low self-esteem. That's not any mans fault, low self-esteem comes from within the person themself. A man can tell his girl she is the most beautiful woman in the world, but she needs to feel that way about herself. FINALLY, go to every single 'hot soapy male' thread and each and every single one of you are drooling at your keyboards and making great googly moogly comments like 11 year olds (just as the men do in the mens locker room).,. those responses make males thing we have to go out and get 20 pack abs and hard as steel bodies just as you all feel that you feel that you have to wear a size negative 2 dress and cake on makeup.

Only if those men have the same low self-esteem issues that you refer to with women who are affected by similar kinds of remarks.

lippy knew it would be all our fault...we didn't have threads like the ones in the ladies room for years...i guess everyone decided collectively that we might as well have some fun on our own...truly it is all in fun...we wish we could get men like that but i think the women are a bit more realistic...we enjoy dreaming and know that it is dreaming...we don't try to make the men here feel like they have to be what is in those threads (except for one or two that deserve to be put through the ringer because they are so fricking mean)

Yep. Sometimes it feels like our bodies are all we are - like we aren't allowed to have souls.

Not all men see it that way. Many years ago, I worked for a middle aged guy, I was maybe 19 at the time. Years later, I ran into him and he said "Ah, much better, now you're beautiful! You don't look like a blank slate anymore, you have actual character now!"

I can drool with the best of them, but when push comes to shove and we're talking what I want in a partner, 20 pack abs are at the bottom of the list. Integrity, intelligence and wit are at the top. Those things are developed with experience at life. Most people don't have that at 20 or 25.

Low self-esteem absolutely plays a part. I'm not negating that. I'm saying though: when you're constantly assaulted by size 2 women and seeing men ogle over size 2 women, it can be frustrating for those of us who aren't. Men are visual creatures (though there are many women who are as well), so when women see or read men constantly ogling very thin women (and don't tell me they don't), it can get to a person.

No we most certainly don't. Most of the women have said they would rather be with bigger guys. Sure those models and other celebrities are wonderful to ogle, but in real life, we want a man with more to him than that.

Yep and it's so wonderful to find men who are "progressive" like that. It makes you feel good to know that you are appreciated at any age!
