Yeah, the principle that poor people should be dealt with punitively, and should never relax, never have fun.

You *do* realize TANF has a 5 year lifetime limit and a 2 year at any one time limit, right?

Or did you stop thinking about poor people when Reagan starting harping on a mythical "welfare queen" 30 years ago?

    yeah....administering those tests aren't free

i see what they're trying to do tho....it's just that this may not be the best time or way to go about it

Welfare queens are a myth. Women and kids receiving government aid aren't entitled to overnight guests? Oh yes, that's right, we must punish poor people, they need to be dwelling on their "moral failure" which is clear, since they're poor, and not having fun.

What *have* you been smoking, paniro?

And the state isn't using $2 tests.

I couldn't agree more that the hypocrisy starts at the top, and generally from the right. Let's see, who started the "war" on drugs, not that we've done anything more than imprison thousands more poor people, and often with disproportionate sentencing. That's something else you can thank the right for.

By the way, Busch II was known to have a major alcohol and cocaine problem, and that was totally ignored by the right wing.

Busch I, for all the talk about the right and high morals, garnered an award while he attended University for sleeping with the most women.

But, that seems to be typical behavior from the right, do the dirt when you're younger and cheat everyone in sight to get ahead. Then when you've older and have achieved an advantage, push a moralistic agenda based on your hypocrisy.

Yeah right, you know me better than that funny guy. It's pretty obvious if you read my post that what I'm agreeing with is hypocrisy starts at the top. EVERY aspect of my post reinforces my beliefs in opposition to his, as usual, lol.

However, I do believe in giving the devil his due. In the case of certain people though, they haven't shown me anything that I would agree with in any area, and that's sad, lol.

A little education in poli-sci would do you a world of good. I'm neither a hippie (too young) nor a communist (I'm not opposed to regulated capitalism - if I were in the UK, I'd be a lib dem most likely)

And I had no idea I was on ignore. Amazing that you respond to or about me when I'm invisible.

For their best interests...welfare recipients should NOT use drugs. Get your lives in order.

As far as testing them go, it'd probably amount to nothing.

I wish some form of testing and investigation of illegal aliens be inplemented nationwide. That is my tax money.
