http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/sh...ety-Rahim-Moore-defends-devast?urn=nfl-wp5513 are the rules too stringent for football and taking away from what is loved about football...the hard hits ? Are we trying too hard for safety but football is not a safet sport so why try to soften it up ? from what I understand the teams are not allowed to have two-a-days and not allowed to hit eachother during certian times of preseason and the season.ect and ect. dont forget players are suffering from longterm brain injuries and now the NFL is getting sued over it.
yeah. I believe if they are going to do that then they dont need to have the kick off return. they just need to start it off at the 30 yard line and play. It will save them money on the payroll and it will reduce "injuries"
reminds me of high school football, where lots of teams don't really have good place kickers like that (we had a 300+ lineman doing our kicks, lol). Sometimes you'll see concessions like starting the ball at a set yard line, or by having a QB with the biggest gun launch it into the air for 'kick off'artyman: I see why they want to reign in kicks, but at the same time like other people stated, the kickoffs lead to some of the most memorable plays and hardest hits that make football worth watching. Nothing like seeing a guy get nailed in the open.
