A Black college student who suffered numerous injuries after an attack by 3 white men Sunday, says that he was targeted because he talked to a white girl.

Christopher Phillips, 19, says he was confronted by Thomas Randich, 19, at a late-night house party in suburban West Chicago, then attacked as he walked away from the argument.


“He was like, ‘Yeah, you’re talking to the wrong girl.’ I was like, I looked at him – I’m confused – I was like, ‘What do you mean I’m talking to the wrong girl?’” said Phillips in an interview with ABC.



Phillips says he was punched from behind and hit the concrete floor with his face, then kicked and punched repeatedly.



Phillips injuries included a fractured jaw, four missing teeth, and cuts and bruises on his body.


Randich, 19, his brother Jake, 18, and Michael Mungovan, 19, have all been charged with aggravated battery.

“He was talking to a white girl, and they didn’t like it. And they jumped on him,” said Phillips’s father, LaMonte Phillips.

Lot of these white dudes get liquid courage aka beer balls when they drink a couple of Natural Ice. Saw it time and time again in college of how they behaved when drunk. I had a roomate that I went off on one time.

He got drunk, came in and started urinating just inside the door of our room. Nasty as hell.

Reminds me of an episode of Campus PD on G4 TV. At The University of Cincinatti some white dude got pulled over for drunk driving and went off on the cop like a spoiled brat, talking about his father has connections, knows the police chief and will get his low wage behind fired.

Meanwhile he is the one driving drunk and acting like his shit doesn't stink.

This is just how some of these dudes behave, spoiled brats at the core, expecting mommy and daddy to bail them out.

Just a real sense of boorish pomposity.
