Will the politicians reform their pension system? Will the non-military civilians in the government change or reform their generous pension system? I think we all know the answer. NO. It's always the military that is put under the gun or axed and not the rest of the government. The men and women who put their lives on the line are again treated like shit while lazy civilians reap the benefits again. I stand by that statement.
No one is putting the military under the rug at all. Once again, you're twisting everything and anything without fail. The fact is that there is TOO much going towards military and it's superfluous, especially when we have too many bases all over the world that should close. This would save money in those aspects and can be put to better use. What's the point in wasting money on pet projects that'll never go into action or keep people over in places like Germany or Japan. Where are the threats and need for us to be there? Again, you're exaggerating your statements.
I agree with you but I don't think they should cut military benefits especially when they risk their lives for the betterment of this country.
I agree actually. Cutting benefits would be problematic. But here's what's funny...you can actually make a lucrative career as a military personnel in the United States. I don't think you can say the same elsewhere.
