Okay thanks for clearing it up. In that case, you really didnt fuck up at all. This is pretty much on him. He seems like an insecure little pussy.

Hope everything works out for ya.

oooo hell no...you did nothing wrong...now that you tell the story...as soon as a man says to me we are over and done it would be silly of him to think that i am going to sit home and play the o woe is me crap...i'm single damnit and not getting any younger...next...trust me he will be back again and next time tell him right there at the door that you have been with other men and if that is a problem then perhaps he should get back in his car and take his butt home...

Exactly - and she was single because of his own decision.

I agree based on the facts as presented in her post. Especially, if there was no contact between the two of them, no occasional dates or hookups, conciliatory telephone calls or other actions that might have been mistaken as the rekindling of a relationship. In that case, the two of them were just former lovers who moved on with their lives, and there should not have been any expectations on his part.

Loaning money to someone who I trusted to get it back. Never again.

Indeed. Based on the events that unfolded, I'd dispute the accuracy of the thread's title.

It's curious that this guy would uproot himself and move to be near you, stiletoes, only to end the relationship over something you did that he really has no right to complain of.

FG....yes I love him and yes I want it too work, but love should not be this hard. At this point in my life, I want someone who is sure of themself.

Where I feel I fucked up was by telling the truth when he asked. I wanted no lies or secrets.

Feeling better, that I did nothing wrong. I just need to take the time to heal and not be with anyone. I am going to focus on my friends, family, work, and doing things that I want to do.

Good luck stiletoes. I can only imagine that splitting up the first time was tough, and I'm sorry that you had to experience it twice.

Stiletoes - if I read the story correct I can't see you did anything wrong. If he is this insecure over you being with other guys when you and he aren't together, how will he be when you are?? This seems very controlling. I'm sorry. I hope it works out how you want it to, together or not. :( Love is way more difficult than it has to be for some reason.
