it's not about ass kicking it's about the mannerisms and behaviors associated with gay males that conflict with the general expectations of boys and men. if sesame place were to have puppets demonstrating such characteristics generally attributed with gay males (which leads them to be identified as gay in the first place), i think you'd see protests from pro-hetero parents as their kids adopt those same attributes.
Ah! You mean the misconceptions. I'm certain that a lot of gay guys are NOT flamboyant and will try to perform the Sack-O-Splooge when you're on the bench. I mean hey, look at many of the superheroes.
And those stereotypes are obviously no more accurate than any other stereotypes. I know gay actors who have been turned down for gay parts because they were not "gay enough."
stereotypes are often based in truth stick to what ur good at, like posing in front of cars with that pretty blond hair
That particular stereotype isn't. I have a lot of gay and lesbian friends (probably the result of having been involved in both dance and theatre). Trust me, Petty, there are gay men all around you that do not look or act "gay." One might even be subtly checking out your arse as I type. :-D
