Go run those Philly streets Balboa or hit your boy Ness up. Like I said before my track record up against anyones at anytime son.

But Jaisee does bring up a good point at least the men have mad threads dedicated to smart chicks or accomplished chicks. It's a straight meat market with the women

Thanks. We still grow up in a culture where women feel a bit uncomfortable about making the first move, especially when they're younger. And even more uncomfortable about approaching a BM, because we make the following assumptions.

    1. You're probably into BW and aren't interested

    2. We've been told you have an entirely different culture, and we don't think we'd fit in there. Since the "dominant" media perception of black culture is hip hop and gansta...well, women like myself, even my younger self, would think we'd be a fish out of water.

It can take a few years to get over those ideas. I'm almost 53, and reasonably attractive for my age, or so I've been told here. I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I've been approached by BM in any other than a business colleague setting/relationship.

Thank you. I don't date BM because I "can't do better" (and who the HELL decided WM were better anyway?) I date both black men and white men because I find both attractive and interesting. You're all the same under the hood. ;-)

this is why these silly ass dudes need to step it up and talk more

even if it's just casual conversation, that's enough to let them know you're at least friendly towards white women. most of my 'associations' get started as a result of that.

If they'd take off their shirts and pose for us, I'd be all for it. Brains and looks are not mutually exclusive. I don't date men who aren't smart. If they're dim, they won't get my wit, and they will annoy me in a very short time. I am impatient with stupidity.

Exactly. I wish the women on here would motivate these dudes instead of lying. I'll tell them straight up WORKOUT STAY IN SHAPE AND HAVE YOUR OWN LIVES. I won't bs them like they bs the dudes. Motivation people

As a gender, we're new to the objectifying men as sex objects thing. Give us time, we'll get better at it. Enough time, and we'll be as good as men are at objectifying women!

    Satisfied?

As far as equality goes, I think it's way more than fair to say that, where 'seeing the other as a sexual object' is concerned, it's equal between men and women.

One can't see IQ (which, incidentally, is not really a great measure of intelligence, but really only a measure of how well one does on the IQ test).

It's not a whole thread, but one of my first posts here was drooling over the very sexy and VERY smart Hill Harper:

    dont know why

    he's a very smooth brotha..dunno why he's startin shit

maybe he should say that ugly brothas arent viewed as sexy..maybe that would be more descriptive and less vague

Ugly anybody isn't viewed as sexy. Except of course in the oddly sexy thread.
