I'm not surprised at his speech. Dennis has always been a hyper-sensitive guy. His induction was well deserved though as he's one of the best rebounders to play the game.

Me too. I didn't realize Penny Marshall was making one. He is definitely talented but marches to his own drum. At least he didn't wear anything too strange for the award......ok Jerry Seinfeld's old ruffle shirt. :p

Lol...THE PIRATE SHIRT...!!!! Love it jordie

Goes to show that money and fame can't give you happiness or fill that void. What a tragic life that's been filled with promise, only to never be fully lived. My heart goes out to him, his mother, his siblings, his wife and his children.

Talk about emotions....and his voice reminds somewhat of Christian Bale in the Dark Knight...

Congrats to Rodman. That speech shows that he's come a long way & learned some important lesson; God bless him for that.

His speech tugs at one's heart. There is something in it, especially in the tone that connects with the listener. I hope he finds his peace and happiness. The bit about the mum and his estrangement was touching.

I've always admired him - always been surprised by him- since he broke out of the stereotype of his team-mates, and always stayed true to himself.

He liked what he liked. He loved who he loved.

I loved his speech. He took his time and gave credit to everyone who meant the most to him in his life.

I felt a kinship with him I guess almost from the start - I guess the way he expressed himself in his game and his appearance made me see that he was an artist. And the way that he appeared in the awards show just affirmed all of that.
