Of course you can convert but you will never be accepted in a conservative synagogue or a conservative family.

Judaism is one of the only religions that does not actively go out and try to convert people. That is why Jews are so insistent on marriage within the blood faith.

A convert would never be allowed to be buried in a Jewish cemetary.

I should add that this is changing. Many reformist groups allow and welcome converts.
