On the advice of some really great people, I have decided to post a thread on this forum.

So here I sit on yet another Friday night waiting for Mr. Right, but only meeting Mr. Right Now. Cmon Ladies, we've all been there right? What does a girl have to do to win the affection of a fine black brother??

 

what do you consider fine? everyone has different expectations and desires...a man i consider fine you may not...the qualities i am looking for may not be what you are looking for...there is someone for everyone...sometimes more than one...you aren't going to find him sitting at your desk at home behind a computer screen...unless of course you find someone here on the forum that you connect with or you are online dating...posting a picture is usually where people start or if you have a unique style of writing or unwaivering wisdom you may find an admirer or two that seek you out based on like minded thinking that displays through your words

 

If not "fine", what kind of black brothers do you attract?

That last sentence... calling out the 'fine black brother'. It makes it sound as though you're primarily focused on the physical traits . That may explain why you're getting Mr. Right Now more often than Mr. Right.

Ok, ok, you guys shut me right down! Maybe I should rephrase....I'm not a shallow person, and was not insinuating that I am only interested in men who are good looking. That being said, what I meant to say was, and I should've really chosen my words more carefully, that I have been hoping to find a man who has depth, character, intelligence, warmth and wit....to me that equals fine...

 

No offense, but you did come off as shallow. In terms of attracting people, get out there are be you and quit sitting about whining.

The search is hard....

Can I find a lil bitty something, small waist, nice legs who likes to go hiking, works out at the gym. Educated Nothing crazy, I'm not a gym rat, but someone close to my age....35-45yrs old (yeah right) Who likes actions movies, superman t-shirts and xbox 360?


You start climbing up the age later slim women get fewer and fewer. Not that there is anything wrong with thick-ums...preference right?

 

Same thing on my end, I don't mind a man who is a bit younger or older, but a guy who is 20 years younger like the one I've seen lately? I don't have anything in common with. I also would like a guy who takes care of himself, and that seems limited in the 40-60 age range. I'm not looking for perfection, just a man who cares enough about himself to take care of himself.

I miss hiking and climbing. You have no idea how much.
