Is there anything sexier? It's deep and smooth and resonant. Of course not all black men have "the voice" but a good many of you do. It sounds like dark silk and gravel and makes me a little weak in the knees.
:smt009 I've grown from being mistaken as a lil ass girl to being confused as a square white guy. I like my hotel voice tho.
LOL, hmm never thought of that. I do have a deep voice, not of the Barry White variety mind you, but I have been told it definitely has a bass to it.
LOL, I've heard that same line as well bro. It usually happens if you are a well spoken black man that actually pronounce your e's and r's. Heaven forbid a brotha doesn't sound like he graduated with an advanced degree in Ebonics linguistics. My deep bass and demeanor usually snaps people into checking themselves from saying anything else stupid after saying that.
Like I said - not all black men have a deep voice. There is still a certain smoothness to it that many black women have as well. My theory is that it is a result of skull and facial structure more than vocal chords - resonance and vibration...blah blah blah Anyway this is just my $.02 so feel free to disregard
Even funnier are the white guys who speak that way as well. I'm still laughing about a 60 minutes interview with Eminem I saw on Sunday. Em was explaining his love of words and how it's possible to use almost any word in a rhyme. He continued with his explanation and used the word "orange" as an example. Em pronounced the word as "urag", no "o" or "n" at all, lol. The interviewer responded and used the same word, though pronouncing it correctly. Em continued and used the word a second time, with the same pronunciation as he had delivered previously. It's equally funny to hear Memphians, white and black guys specifically, pronounce the word "man" as "mane". I hear it in my gym constantly and it never fails to make me smile.
It's sad that people don't admire and celebrate the differences and variety in the human race. If people discriminate against you because of your voice - that is ignorant, pathetic and sad on their part.
I'm not quite sure of your point, but personally I found your comment offensive. I find it sad whenever someone attempts to attribute some aspect of behavior or characteristic, solely on the basis of race. Voices are like people, they're all individual. Perhaps it's too much to wish that people are attracted to individuals and not to contrived stereotypes.

My voice is pretty deep (I've been told) and, I have gotten teased about it, in a complimentary way. I don't like to hear myself recorded. I don't like the way I sound but, some people do I guess.
Seems like you're taking it way too serious man... what she said was hardly offensive. Whites generally have thicker bone density. Blacks have wider noses. Whites have straighter hair. Blacks have monstrous penises. It's whatever.... she's attracted to black men voices.. she's allowed that. The very nature of this site dictates that we have a preference based on more than individuality. This isn't www.womenmen.com.
