superman vs. captain marvel would make a good movie if i recall superman is a little bit weaker when it comes to magic.

 

They did a cartoon movie of that and it sucked. Besides two heroes against each other always comes out kind of boring.

 

Actually a lot of white(s) believe they are the ones who are supposed to SAVE THE WORLD. Many believe it was their god given gift to be our saviors, and this belief is backed up by everything that have seen since birth.

The white man, or white woman saving the world. Being the champions of all that is good and clean. Everything is simply waiting to be rescued.

Well said. And that's the mentality they have. Sadly, there's really no one of that kind in the real world who reflect what's shown in the comics. And yes, this also includes the real-life "superheroes."

 

Not feeling the rubberized look of the suit, plus it's too dark. The cape is on point though.

Love the old-time Fleischer look, though, particularly the classic "S"

Ironically, that's the kind of material used in Cap's costume in the comics but they didn't use it in the movie

I agree that this Superman looks like he could conceivably team-up with the Nolan Batman, though. I'd love to see him and Bale in a photo shoot or short video together as World's Finest

Also agree that we finally have an actual badass playing Superman, not some skinny emo dork like Routh (although I thought he was just trapped in a bad movie)

Zack Snyder's visuals are ALWAYS on point (ya'll need to fucking see SUCKER PUNCH, damn the critics, they suck), I'm just worried about the cast and script. Fishburne as Perry White? Who's next, Aziz Ansari as Jimmy Olsen? And enough with Luthor and Zod, they need to come with some new shit: Parasite, Metallo, Darkseid! Also agree with asshole that a second DC hero intro would be sweet as well. Too bad they blew it with Green Lantern.

PS: Read Kingdom Come and see how Captain Marvel roasted Superman with his magic lightning. I've been reading DC my whole life and never saw no shit like that.

Batman did that both in The Dark Knight Returns and Hush. Bruce Wayne bought a Kryptonite fragment and hangs on to it in case Superman goes rogue.

Looks too dark.. He looks too "rugged" Superman always had this clear, cut, square jaw look. Sort of a boyish look. This guy looks like Dark Superman from the DoomsDay spin offs.

 

The way he called Clark at the end of Dark Knight Returns was classic. He was definitely letting him know don't buy into this Superman shit you can get got too homie lol

 

Good point but hoping it's at least good. Outside of the animated stuff Superman sucked for the last 30 years

I like the dark look but every time I see him I think he is about to say would you like a spot of tea with that governor or or god save the queen

The original, golden age Superman was a rugged, brutish, man of the people hero.

 

there are so many variations of comic book heroes that no 'one' of them is right.

these movies are just following the same trend
