Pac is bitch for running to the courts in the first place. He should settle it in the ring.

Tyson accused Holyfield of juicing....guess what?...Evander tested, and kicked Tyson's ass IN THE RING.

Good thing he didn't punk-out and file a frivolous lawsuit.

    Manny's excuses:
    "I'm afraid of needles"
    "I won't be dictated to"
    "He's bigger than me...he has more blood"
"I need more than 14 days to recover from giving blood"(despite giving blood THREE days before the Clottey fight)

NOW WHAT IF FLOYD USED THOSE LAME EXCUSES?

He'd be laughed out of Vegas. The US media is letting Pac off the hook.

Mayweather agreed to ALL Pac's demands:
10 million for every pound over 147
A 5050 split(despite having far better ppv sales than Pac)
    8 oz gloves.

Manny ran because of Floyd's ONLY demand...that BOTH fighters take RANDOM tests.

Pac agreed to be tested only if he was NOTIFIED when the test would take place......hmmmmm....if that doesn't look dirty I'd hate to see what does.

Bob Arum wishes he had a fighter that could beat Mayweather.

The ONLY way Bob beats Floyd is in the media.:smt039

Since moving from 135...every Pac opponent is one fight removed from losing...most by KO.

I don't understand your last sentence what you mean by it?....(I know you mean 135 pounds, but the bolded part, unless you mean his opponents when he was in that weight class were weak to begin with?)

All the rest, you have absolute great points. I did not know half of what you wrote occurred. BTW though, I though they are fighting next year and it's been mutually agreed upon.

Anyway I thought he took a blood test..now its kind of embarrassing that he's even complaining in general, let alone filed a lawsuit. What an odd back and forth with these two...their fight when/if it happens, is going to break viewer records.

What i meant was Pac's opponents are still wearing a fresh ass whipping when he fights them.

In boxing it's not who you fight...it's WHEN you fight them.

I can't believe that this motherfucker actually filed a defamation lawsuit because of trash talking. Whether people like Mayweather or not they've got to realize that this is one of the biggest bitch moves in the history of sport. Notice that Pacquiao's people only sued the Mayweathers over steroid accusations when plenty of other people on the boxing scene have made similar comments.

what dude have you even been paying attention? I..I..I.. can't I can't. Its Mayweather who has been RUNNING away from Manny. Mayweather is the one, as recent as June, who turn down 65 million to fight Pac. Pacquaio didn't want to agree to a blood test within the last month before the fight, but agreed to tests right after the fight in the locker room. What was Mayweather afraid of, his blood my chance before he gets to the locker room?

this fight should have happened long time ago but Mayweather always has some reasons why he can't, some reason why he's not ready, some reason why this won't work, that won't work. Pff..

Soon as Mayweather agreed to ALL Pac's demands...he bolted from negotiations like a scalded dog(ironically his favorite meal) to fight Joshua Clottey...another fighter coming off a loss.

Agreeing to every demand doesn't seem like running to me.
Pac changes excuses with every interview...that's more like running.

Testing AFTER a fight is something a dirty juicer would suggest.Manny wanted to be NOTIFIED when he would be tested....that's a juicer's demand for sure.

Pac's trainer has worked with juicers before...he still has a few in his gym now...that whole camp is TAINTED.

If you think baseball and football is dirty...just imagine what's going on in boxing.

Many fighters have come foreward to say they'd take those tests NO PROBLEMS...

He's a bitch that is getting a pass from the media.

If Floyd were white you best believe the media would be on Pac's ass like a pair of drawers.

Had Manny demanded random testing and Floyd said "I'm scared of needles" or "let me know when the tests happen" he'd be laughed out of boxing.

Tyson accused Holyfield of juicing...he didn't sue...he tested and kicked that ass in the ring.

Too bad Pacman doesn't have balls(or skills) like that.

If you just got your ass kicked...expect a call from the Pacman.

He won't go NEAR a winning fighter.

Pac fought Margarito despite the fact that Margo was BANNED from boxing for loading his gloves and had been destroyed by Mosley.

People don't follow boxing like they do basketball and football...making it possible to pull shams like that.

Like many people, I have my doubts about Pacquaio being clean. Whenever an athlete has a sudden change in ability I question what he's doing to become significantly better over a short time, Holyfield, Ben Johnson and Usaine Bolt among others.

Timing and knowledge of testing is everything with steroid users. It gives them time to clean their system, modify their drug use or use other drugs to mask the effects of the steroids. We all know about Johnson's steroid use. Holyfield suddenly became a much bigger fighter before fighting Tyson. It's well known that Holyfield was working out with a former bodybuilder, Lee Haney, who himself had taken drugs when he competed and won the Olympia a record number of times. Interestingly enough, the Jamaican track team is one of the only teams that doesn't perform random testing of its athletes. Usaine Bolt also came suddenly on the international scene. He hadn't been winning races internationally throughout his career. Pacquaio was not known as a knockout artist or a heavy hitter throughout his early career. Now, suddenly he's knocking everyone out or beating them into submission. His training schedule resembles something out of the Rocky movies. Something is amiss...IMO.

Ok, so I have this straight...in order to win, he fights weakened fighters, AND takes steroids for good measure? I'm going to defer my judgment on this until I research his opponents fighting records.

BTW, was Margorito's fight with Pac accredited, since he was already banned??

Mayweather never ducked Pac. He signed the contract to fight Pac. Pac is the one who refuse to sign on to the fight. The reason they haven't fought yet is because of Bob Arum. He has a bad history with Mayweather.

Research away...if more people did so this sham wouldn't be allowed.

Margarito had his license revoked for loading his gloves...the only place he could fight was mexico.

Arum somehow got him a license and the fight was made in TEXAS(LOL) because that was the only place that would sanction the bout.

So far I've read 4 different versions of 1 story.... DO ANY OF YOU KNOW HOW TO FACT CHECK?

Let's get the story straight based on a few legitimate articles I have read (espn and hbo boxing). This is not entirely complete so feel free to add anything legitimate that you can find.

    1. Fighters and boxing in general are about SALES. They are all salesmen. Do not forget this fact.

    2. To sell you the idea of this epic fight of the century, they very likely have had this ongoing feud just to make sure IF this fight ever happens, EVERY PERSON ON EARTH WILL WATCH IT

    3. Floyd Mayweather agreed to fight Pacquiao. That is a fact. The fight DID NOT HAPPEN after PACQUIAO refused to pre-fight dope testing. Why would he refuse that if he is a clean fighter; that is what I truly wonder. Pacquiao proceeded to get his ass kicked by a couple lesser fighters, making this fight now obsolete. Mayweather has no reason to fight Pacquiao at this point. There are other up and coming fighters that have the youth that would be required to compete at a high enough level to have a shot at taking Mayweather down. Pacquiao still has some speed, but his best days are clearly behind him.

    4. Most Boxing media respects Mayweather and knows he is a great fighter. However, lets be clear: due to the fact that a black man is 2 fights away from breaking Rocky Marciano's (white italian american from down the road from me, representin Brockton MASS!!) 58 year record of having the greatest undefeated record of all time at 49 - 0, they have MADE SURE that if it does happen, it will not be without standing controversy for the rest of history. I find this fact rather interesting.

These are the facts that I know of this fight. If you want to discuss any other issues regarding the controversy, cite some legitimate sources, not just the biased statements made by fans.

    Pacquiao saw it differently...

...."It wasn’t until the subject of a potential bout with Mayweather came up – the topic that no one fails to raise with him – that he seemed to awaken. Suddenly, Pacquiao shook the sleep from his eyes to defend himself against an incessant Mayweather campaign that has painted him as a reluctant warrior.

In the weeks before Mayweather announced Jan. 31 that he would fight Miguel Cotto at the MGM Grand Garden on May 5, Mayweather waged a public campaign for a bout with Pacquiao. He posted on Twitter and spoke at news conferences, using every opportunity to make it seem that Pacquiao was avoiding the big match.

Mayweather, it was suggested to Pacquiao, is winning the public relations contest handily, at least in the U.S. At that, Pacquiao looked up from his plate and put down his fork. His eyes widened and he leaned forward, staring intently across the table.

“He talks, he says all this, but you know what: He doesn’t want the fight,” Pacquiao firmly told Yahoo! Sports in an exclusive interview. “I want the fight. I’m the one who has wanted this fight all along.”

Not long after he was granted a conditional boxing license by the Nevada Athletic Commission to fight Cotto, Mayweather made a big deal of Pacquiao turning down a $40 million guarantee to fight him.

But Pacquiao said that was simply a bluff, a public relations stunt that didn’t bear any semblance to reality.

“He offered me $40 million, and no pay-per-view [money],” Pacquiao said, breaking into a laugh. “No pay-per-view. Can you believe that? Would you do that? Come on. What would he say if I offered him $50 million – not $40 million, $50 million – and said ‘No pay-per-view. Take this money and be happy, but no pay-per-view.’ He wouldn’t do it, either.”

The fight, if it ever happens, would pit the two best fighters and the two biggest draws in the sport against one another. It would likely generate more than $160 million in pay-per-view revenue in the U.S. alone.

Mayweather phoned Pacquiao adviser Michael Koncz in the Philippines on Jan. 19 and asked to speak to Pacquiao. Mayweather then told Pacquiao he’d offer him $40 million, which Mayweather later told the media “is far more than he’s ever made.”

Pacquiao said he wanted to fight, but that $40 million flat wasn’t nearly fair.

“I told him, ‘OK, 50-50 [with the money] and I’ll agree to everything else,’ ” Pacquiao said. “I told him I would agree to all of the other things he was demanding. Everything. Even the blood testing he wanted, I would do it. But it had to be 50-50.”

Pacquiao said he told Koncz to offer Mayweather a guarantee of $50 million with the rest of the revenue being split, with 55 percent going to the winner and 45 percent going to the loser.

There was no response from Mayweather’s side, Pacquiao said.

“Manny authorized me to do that and I went forward with it, but it went nowhere,” Koncz said. “That was it.”

Mayweather’s manager, Leonard Ellerbe, denied such an offer was made and suggested it was a stunt dreamed up by Pacquiao promoter Bob Arum.

Ellerbe said, “Pacquiao is lying” about the offer and said the conversation with Mayweather lasted only two minutes.

“What Manny Pacquiao has to understand, and I don’t think he understands this part, is that if the fight ever comes off, he’ll never make the kind of money that Floyd makes,” Ellerbe said. “That’s simply because of the structure of his terrible deal with his promoter.

“[Pacquiao] is a guy who doesn’t know what he makes fight to fight. He has no idea of where the revenue comes from. There’s no way he’s going to come up with something like that [offer] off the top of his dome.”
