I have read the entire thread and I see nothing funny in the use of racial epithets, period. I would have thought that you realized that such language is offensive, and ironically on a site that embodies racial harmony. I have never used racial epithets in posts with anyone so you would completely wrong about that as well.

I understand that I have a different sense of decorum and acceptable behavior but it in no way can be characterized as "uptight". If you don't understand this then my comments were indeed appropriate.

 

Actually, Jaisee's comments were about fortune 500 companies so the "owners" are the public and the board members are "independent" members rather than friends of the family.

I do agree with you though that, ideally, Black Americans should strive toward business ownership. Business ownership offers the greatest potential for wealth gain, the employment of other Blacks and the opportunity to mentor other Black men and women to replicate and own businesses themselves.

I strongly disagree with those who refer to you by offensive names because you disagree with their idea of what Black men should think. That's your right, whether I find favor with it or not.

There're obviously a lot of Black people who do blame White Americans for every ill that befalls Black people and I'm as stridently opposed to their position as well. People do indeed need to look in the mirror and make changes in their lives despite the obstacles in their lives. This is exactly what successful Black Americans have done and continue to do, unfortunately not in great enough numbers.

Having said that, there's a historical and current backdrop of racism that affects the opportunities of Black people. It doesn't mean that you roll over, as that's the weak and unenlightened among us, you fight on always. But, always you need to acknowledge and understand the framework under which you operate.

you can look in the mirror all you want. If you truly done what you are suppose to do....then there are other things that are holding and others back. we can see that in the justice system and others. but we are talking business so lets stick to that.

HBCU's here in alabama had to take the state of alabama to court in the mid 90's to acquire fundings that the white colleges were getting that under the law was to be dispersed to all universities/colleges.

black own business had to take the fed's to court to acquire fair bids for govt contracts here in alabama.

It would only be hypocritical if someone had directed comments to ME in the past and I ignored them. There're many things that're said here that offend me, as I just mentioned to Parino in a post, but I I leave it to others to address incidents of impropriety associated with their posts. Not sure if you read into my statement or if you're just making a general statement, but I never said anything about a glass ceiling. What I stated is simply the truth about the state of Todays workplace. It is very white at the top and very dark at the bottom.... as far as the 'why' or how to change that.,. well, thats not really my concern.

Yeah, thanks for the advice. When I went into that first trade, my account went into a bit of a draw down.

I did some research and looked into this and realized (from another trader) that you should keep your margin level in your trades above 1,000% to give enough room for volatility and draw down in the account.

I did some mathematical calculations and realized that for every $100 you have in the account, you should trade 0.03 lots.

When the EUR/USD trades are finished, I'll be able to show you a trading statement of how things went. Those trades will probably finish in the first week of August.
