Love naturally motivates me I don't get how that wouldn't do the same for other people. Isn't it our natural inclination to want the best for those we love?

Yes thats the thing.. Tough times can befall people, especially if they are not been blessed with education but if that happens , do something. Bus tables, whatever.

The measure of a man is not what society decides about the job he does and why he does it , but his motivation and passion to keep striving and see any contribution they can make to their partnership and family even if it's small not only important but non-negotiable. Same even for women.

Too many women want a rich hubby because they can't or won't do it themselves. Some men too. These are usually the types that think they are too good for basic wage jobs.

Aww.. shit man, all I'm saying is

Go out and get a job, or try. Make an effort to meet your responsibilities
I just can't help but add some flowers to everything I write at times.. you're right, maybe it is too much time in the sun. I talk shit for a living, remember!

Seriously though I do mean it.. have done it all during tough times myself as a student.

    My goodness.......

I have been away for a looooooooooooong time and people are STILL talking about this crap:smt102

Get a job doing something you love and makes you want to get up in the morning. Feel like you are making SOME positive contribution to the world and not making a freakin mess of it.

Do that and I promise the size of the dollar signs won't matter one bit, not to you or to your partner.

Are you surprised? There's no such thing as new topic of conversations, only variations of the same ol' themes ;)

    ESPECIALLY on this forum

Believe me I'm joyed to hear that works for you but...for mostly everyone else, doing what you love does not translate into a substancial money stream to live on.

Wow, this is a super long thread (as most on here are) I've done a lot of reading LOL.

Well at 42, I'm probably older than a lot of you on here. I've never had a issue with a women making more or less than me. I'd actually like to meet a women who made more than me, just to see what that is like; and I don't feel like I'd have a problem with it at all.

I'm not rich by any means but, if I did meet someone special, got married and, she made more than me, we would be pretty well off financially. In today's economy that wouldn't be a bad thing IMO. Having said that, if she made less and, I like/love her it still wouldn't matter to me.

At my job, I know a few guys who's wife make a great deal more than them. They are the ones who never work overtime and, most of the men I talk to about that think it's cool.

This is a very thread and a long one too. I, for one, have always wanted a woman that I can support and who will do the same thing for me. Am I uber-rich, no; however, if I see a sexy, expensive pair of high heels (yes, I have a shoe fetish), I don't care how provocative they may be, I am buying them for her. Because I love her THAT much. (The way to a woman's heart is through her feet). It's something I've always wanted to do.

Now, if she's a golddigging loser like some of these broads on these dating sites then I can't deal with her. She's all about the car I drive and money I make rather being about the man I am. And i simply can't have that. Golddiggers are pathetic because they will leave for someone who's got more than you. Some of these types will hide under the guise of "I have standards". Funny how these losers live lonely lives.
