Who the fuck takes pleasure in other people's misfortune or has contempt for their failures?? All you perfect mufuckas don't know anyone in your family who's battled addiction?? The girl experimented, got addicted, and that demon killed her. SOme of you talk as if it's a failure of her character. like all the 'together' people never get hooked on shit. Anytime someone ODs, it's a tragedy. Like Coltrane, Charlie Parker and Billie Holliday. Are they all JUST heroin junkies?? Some of you must live very sheltered lives. The human animal by its very nature is self-destructive, but making jokes about someone's drug addiction is beyond cruel. The mods changed the title of this thread because it was the right thing to do IMO.
If the best you can do is dance on her grave, WHY are you even POSTING in this thread????? Farrah Faucette and Ed McMahon?? GTFOH with that bullshit comparison.
Damn, I know I am a cold hearted SOB but some of y’al take the cake. The chick was sick; she had manic depressive and addiction that she was constantly fighting. Addiction is a terrible disease, I hope to God y’al don’t have to see or experience it. I have seen friends and distant family members struggle with it. It is like a cancer it eats up all your ability to function well, strong ppl can easily get succumb to this condition, especially when you have a psych illness as bipolar condition. I am all for personal responsibility and accountability but the chick was young and she had medical problem which ultimately caused her demise. If she was 40 year old woman and this shit happened to her, maybe I will be on board with some of y’al but she was young and was around ppl who won’t say no to her. RIP Amy. Charlie Sheen, you better pay attention, you’re on deck.
Nobody here is taking pleasure in this girl's death. Some of us are just being honest about what happened. Just like the other musicians that you mentioned, she threw her talent away. I don't have much sympathy for that. Charlie Parker drank so much and shot up so much junk that he looked like 60-year-old man when he died at 34. His friend Dizzy Gillespie abstained from drugs and outlived him by 50 years making beautiful music the entire time. That's a life worth remembering.
Just reminding you this shit is fleeting. We don't really" care" about Amy Whinehouse or at I don't get why we do. Another rich person pissed away their good fortune. Who the fuck cares? There are far more important things that deserve our attention. You wanna feel sad? Feel sad for the homeless who are stuck outside in this ungodly heat or poor addicts who don't have the access to help this spoiled princess had.
fortune as in luck? you aren't saying she was lucky to be talented...are you? that wouldn't be because she is a woman and tiger woods and vick are men...perhaps amy winehouse was so very talented and an addiction just took away her common sense...
I just read that Amy Winehouse's mom has had Multiple Sclerosis for more than 30 years. Stress + MS = major suckage. I cannot imagine what that poor woman is going through tonight.
It's one thing to view her untimely death as a waste, but how can you say she 'threw her talent away'?? How the fuck do you even know her but for her beginning to realize her enormous musical ability?? That entire Brit neo-soul movement jumped off with Amy Winehouse. It's a tragedy, plain and simple. Like when you find out the dude who's serving a lifetime stretch in the joint was molested daily by his stepfather as a kid, his mom was a prostitute, and his brother was a dealer. It doesn't absolve him of his crimes, but it's still sad IMO. I know people who took their first drink in HS and are now stone cold alcoholics without custody rights. I know dudes who smoked a joint at a house party in college who are cooking up base on the weekends to add to the mix of their pharmaceutical drug habit. When you see that devil grab ahold of someone and never let go, it's sad. My grandma used to have this sure-fire cure for getting over drug addiction; don't EVER drink, smoke or snort in the first place. It was corny at the time but her point was still the same; once we experiment we are all vulnerable, even with just alcohol, for developing an addiction. Fame is an enabler, and if you aren't prepared for it emotionally and psychologically, it can destroy your life. People care about her because she added value to people's lives. I can honestly say without music in my life, I would have killed a mufucka or two, or be dead. Music sets the level on my soul, and when someone like Winehouse dies way too young who genuinely moved me almost to tears, it sucks.
Again, why are you holier-than-thou Negroes still in this thread?? You weren't fans, didn't appreciate her talent, but have a WHOLE lot of noise to talk about addicts ain't worth shit. Find a cause?? Find a hobby??:| I miss the chick, period. Try working with that.
Let me get this straight Nail Michael Vick to a cross and let him suffer forever. Yet tiptoe around Amy Winehouse's drug use. Riiiiight.
