Looks like me and Sam had the same ideas/outlook on Amy.

 

Yeah, and me, the girl person, completely missed it. How, I have no idea! Hell, I had a bit of a crush on an alien when I was little girl Amy's age myself. I thought Mr. Spock was totally cool!

 

You are exactly right about River. That's why I thought she was Romana, or even the Rani. Folks need to understand that is what makes River so unique in the new series. You will not see a lot a crying & screaming with her. She is a first class intellect that will pop a cap in dat a$$ (when the Doctor is not watching). Watching the Doctor stammer around River is comic gold.

Funny how all those capable women all have names that start with an "R".

Kind of like Superman's girlfriends all having the initials "LL".

 

LOL on the initials! And yes, it is comic gold. She even unnerved 10, which was quite a feat as his understanding of humans seemed deeper than 11's. I'd have loved to have seen more River/10 interaction too.

It's also hilarious when River flirts with 11. I've a feeling in their first intimate encounter, she'd ah.."unman" him rather quickly. ;-)

 

That is a porno I'd pay to see. Remember how awkward he was when she kissed him? Here he has this curvy MILF all over him, and his arms & legs are flailing about. He has no idea what to do! Funny as Hell. This guy can save the universe with nothing but his whits & sonic scredriver, but he can't kiss a woman. He is an alien. Hilarious!!!

 

Ok, gotta go watch Inferno.

 

Yep. But I do think it would be a short porno. ;-) Not sure 11's quite up to dealing with River in bed.

Alex Kingston too. She was on Graham Norton a few weeks ago and told a story about doing a stage play with a guy who kept trying to play tonsil hockey on stage. She warned him to stop. He didnt. She bit his tongue. He ended up with 4 stitches!

Yeah it's been awhile since I have watched it. The intersting thing about that story is it was the only storyline for one season of the Colin Baker Doctor and combined multiple adventures.

Nice find. :smt023 A fun panel discussion. By Mekhi's up beat tone and playful interactions with both Eve & John and his desire that Starz' decides to continue the series, I'm taking a wild guess that Rex survives his injuries at the end of Miracle Day storyline and goes on to be a Torchwood regular.

 

I'm thinking he already fits. In some ways, he performs a similar function on the team as Owen - not as a doctor, but in questioning Jack so much, and insisting on his own way of doing things...but backing off when he sees where Jack is going with something. Esther is still too much Nancy Drew for me, but she may grow.

 

As they pointed out in the panel Esther is a lot like Gwen was when she first found out about Torchwood. For now I kind of look at it as a good thing especially if she joins and since Gwen is now so jump right in the thick of things.
