DB, I do agree with you on where beauty standards (goes for both men and women) have gone in this country in particular.

However. I must say that when we drool over perfect men in our threads, we know that is airbrushed and we don't expect and demand that men should look like that in real life- we just drool over them - realizing facts and reality.

I honestly think the same goes for the men here and their threads - they drool over the pics and full well know the reality out there.

I didn't see LA's comment about none of the pics being airbrushed but even so, it may be a discrepancy how he interpreted "airbrushing" as in maybe he thought you meant that these women looked far away from the pics posted while you really didn't mean as much as an extreme as he might have taken it, or he was just riding you. I think LA is smarter than that and knows reality vs "just pictures".

I think we need to give them a bit of slack here - they are adults, we drool over airbrushed pics - knowing full well that they are. Do we think that affects our ability to discern how real men look like? I think not.

Let them drool, its ok - I think the vast majority of the men here know reality and don't expect unrealistic levels of the female physique - for the rest of them - don't waste your time.

That is SUCH a good idea. I drunk dialed a boy last night and now I suspect he'll never speak to me again (not MrF, he loves me no matter my drunken state thank god, although I did drunk dial his ass too haha). Brilliant. Am such a winner. I KNEW I should have deleted the number from my phone dammit. HORRIFIED. Cant even remember what I said. Stupid red wine. And now Im off to work when I want to sleep the whole day. Who cares if it is airbrushed and who made anybody an authority over airbrushed photos to assume ALL women who have flat stomachs are airbrushed? And funny enough this same female will be wagging her tail at men with abs in that section.Such hypocrisy is nauseating and the way people go on and on replying to threads calling their bullshit trying to make everybody accept what they say is the truth baffles me. Did it have to take another female called FG to ram it home before people get it and say "yep ok?"

There are women with flat bellies(my bad i meant flat bellies not fat bellies cuz that wont make sense) and the secret is they work out and are not lazy and don't eat twinkies at midnight. In fairness one person has a medical condition but that particular person would do better to keep her mouth shut in the future because it just comes off as hating no matter what her intentions are.

Anyone that knows my stand about weight bashing knows I get involved on the regular on that and me having a flat stomach does not bias me one way or another. I think I have proven that over and over. Sheesh Karma, really.

If we as women, think we can distinguish between reality and perfect pics of perfect male bodies, should we not assume men can do the same???
If men don't know that airbrushing is used more often that not, then, I feel sorry for them.

On the other hand, I think the men that got on DB didn't really read her correctly, she never said women like that didn't exist, she merely pointed out airbrushing and the way its biases beauty standards and expectations. And like I said - most men here can probably distinguish between the two, and the ones that cant - well, nothing will change their minds and they will eventually be very lonely so it evens out.
