LOL, damn this thread is popping since I last viewed it.

MrF, I see you're still holding your ground even though the ladies are coming in hard on you about the fairness of Ellin's monetary worth after the relationship. :D

Endorsements are the fruits of an athlete's talent and or labor. If it werent, corporations wouldnt bother approaching them.

    Its not free money.

Jesus Christ, I never said it was "free" money. I know why athlete's get endorsements. I understand the process.

I said: the actual ACTS OF THE ENDORSEMENTS THEMSELVES (wearing shoes, drinking a drink, driving a certain type of car) requires zero skill. That part is not the HARD EARNED part.

It's not free money, it's easy money for any athlete.

And this is BS...he obtain the million through his hard worth as an athlete. Its silly to say well he didn't "earn" as if he just woke up on day and Buick was throwing cash at him.

I hear what your saying but you can say that about a lot of jobs. I'll use accounting for example. At one point I would go through about maybe 8 different accounts per day and during tax season around 20. I got paid roughly around 30 to 32 dollars per hour for work which was hard but very tedious. When I was in college I use to move boxes in a back room at retail store and that shit was fricking hard and at the time I was making 7.50 per hour. I know its not the same exact thing but my point is degree of difficulty rarely equates fairness in pay its called capitalism. Its the same reason why Stephanie Meyers can write four piece of shit novels and earn 100 million dollars but cops in the Bronx are lucky if they see 80 grand a year with overtime.

The problem we're having here is that youre contradicting yourself so as to have your cake and eat it too.

It's kind of like a corporation the janitors pretty much out work everyone as far as hard work is concerned but CEOs who only need to keep a corporate image and delegate authority do far less and out earn him on average 300 times more per year.

I also think some of the ladies under estimate how much these guys inspire people. Would it be great if it were surgeons and engineers? Sure but it isn't what actually inspires people for the most part.

I think Bookie's point as well as Whikle's and some of the other women is they don't agree with how much their work is being valued which to be honest is fair since people like teachers and nurses are very under valued but I also think its partly a gender thing but I don't see too many people upset when Danica Patrick was making millions off endorsements the common argument is men have been doing it for years. So then one must ask are you upset that athletes make this kind of money which translates into power or is it because its male athletes.
Bottom line we live in a capitalistic system and trust me if Tiger made 500 mill off endorsements those companies made billions off of him but no one makes a stink about nike making 5000% profits on shoes and apparel its easier to blame the person wearing it for them which is also part of their job.

That should be takin up with the consumers. My guess is that both ladies spend money on various outlets for entertainment. Harry Potter movies perhaps? ;)

Is Harry Potter overpaid? If so, dont contribute to his wealth by going to the theater 2 & 3 times to see him every time a new one comes out.

This is Whikle's argument and this is what I was trying to make more understandable.

The endorsements are easy money. That's it and that's all.

I never once said he didn't deserve that money because he didn't put enough hours into becoming a professional athlete to deserve it. WE NEVER SAID THAT. We were just commenting on the endorsement money being a "CHA-CHING" for him as an athlete.

He'd be worth a lot less if he didn't get endorsement deals. But he's not going to not get them because of who he is...

Is it really that hard of a concept??

Exactly. There's no issue when its an over paid women. I have yet to hear anyone criticize Oprah for being worth 2 billion dollars. She isn't out there curing Aids or designing bridges. She hosted a tv show where people paraded as attention whores and turned that into several more successful businesses.
Don't get me wrong I love Oprah but no says she's getting too much btw she's gotten endorsement deals too.
Now if someone wants to argue that having an idea shouldn't entitle someone to that much wealth I am totally on board for that discussion but everything else said sounds like pure hating.

What if Danica Patrick had $1 billion in her bank account, and she was married, had some kids and got divorced. Her ex-husband gets $100 million of that money in the divorce.

Would you all still be complaining that he is stealing her money??

Or if Tiger was worth $100K. Would you all be complaining that Elin walked away with $20K of that?? That's 20%.

You guys are starting a whole different argument. We never said Tiger didn't deserve the money. We're merely separating the money he's made between hard-earned and easy "cha-ching" money.

I can't stand Oprah and think it's ludicrous that she's worth as much as she is...

By that very argument one could say Elin definitely didn't do 100 million dollars worth of work or put in a 100 dollars worth of time to earn that money. She did what mothers like you, like Tarshi, like Tam, and Espy do daily without a staff and without a father present in the home. So what makes her anymore deserving of that insane amount of wealth?

Um yes and yes. You definitely know me better than that. I am ALWAYS fair. I go after everyone whether I like you or not whether your male or female.
I hate the way everyone runs around feeling entitled to shit. Its sickening. So when people promote someone getting 20% of what someone else worked for no matter what the circumstances its just plain annoying.

That's like saying if a school teacher takes 200 dollars of her weekly earnings and invests in a company like google and makes millions that would be smart. You wouldn't be arguing the validity of her having that money or how hard or easy the money was to come by. She'd be a saavy female investor. And is the money being seperate anyway, it all boils down to money HE earned. Whether you agree with the degree of difficulty to get said money is irrelevant he earned it. Truthfully its all relative. A teacher in US makes a ton more than a doctor in Jamaica. Who do you think contributes more?

You're right. It's all about her being female and females are evil, money-sucking bitches.

Elin should be only getting $1000 a month in child support. She can earn the rest on her own.

    My bad.

By the way, you all do realize that Tiger is not even missing that money? He's already made that money back and then some.

Slow down victim where did I say that and I've state before 1 million dollars a year for every year they were married is more than fair for someone who didn't contribute financially and had a staff help with the child rearing. Oh and how do I know they had a staff? Show me anyone who has that level of wealth without one. Go ahead I'll wait...

And far as child support is concerned I've always been confused on a good number in situations like that. For example Puff pays 30 grand a month in child support. Where does that money go especially in divorces where the woman gets the house and they're usually paid off with people of this kind of wealth where is the money going. Heating bills and groceries? I've always been puzzled by that. I'm all for men taking care of their kids but how much does it really cost? Even the best prep schools don't cost more than 50 grand a year and a nanny usually cost 35 grand a year so in terms of puff what else is the rest of that money going towards? Expense accounts at Bloomy's? Again the numbers don't add up to me. It's like you're also expected to compensate a mother for taking care of her kids.

smdh you females still dont get it. To even get those big endorsements is a rare feat for anyone. Tiger worked his ass off his whole fuckin life and conquered golf. He earned every cent.

Getting big time endorsement deals is NOT easy for any athlete. Only the best of the best are able to get them (Tiger, Michael Phelps, Jordan etc).

    Christ ladies smdh
