LOL No problem. There arent that many women in IT still, and of those who are damned few do systems engineering. While you were posting, I was playing with the code to see how it worked, editing and re-editing ;-)
Hollywood is completely idea bankrupt. That's why they keep producing big screen remakes of all these movies & TV shows from the 70's & 80's over the last decade rather coming up with original ideas.
That's also why, more and more, I tend to watch British drama. Some amazing shit happening over there.
that's some intelligent shit right there from the Conan remake to X-Men First class, these mothafuckas dont have any original ideas whatsoever
Definitely true when it comes to comicbook related movies of late. Comicbooks have been around close to going on 70-80 years with origins and histories of long standing characters being up dated when needed and dumb Hollywood mofos can't simply take some of the best comic stories that have been written and adapt them into film just like they do regular books? Look at what happened with the X-Men. They made three jumbled up X-Men movies & a Wolverine movie in a decades time period and then basically rebooted the franchise and ignored all the shit they established in the previous movies. If they actually had any brains they would have made the First Class movie from the jump and then went from there. Same with Spider-Man. Rebooting the franchise and ignoring the three movies already made. They tried to bring back the Superman franchise with Superman Returns fucked that up and now are in the process of a total reboot with Man of Steel. Shits just crazy. At least so far all the Marvel Studio movies (the two Iron Man movies, the second take on the Hulk in less than a decade, Thor and soon Captain America) have more or less been decent & stayed on point.
lol how many times are they going to reboot shit just continue that mothafucka!! Superman: The Durge of Thanatos (epic) X-Men: The Gladiator (this one could be set in space like the cartoon, with Ll'Andra and all that crazy Shi'ar shit)
They're not idea bankrupt! They're just incapable of taking risks with new IP unless they come from big name companies or people like Pixar and Spielberg. Remember, movie productions require a lot more money than ever and investing in small time movies would be a hit or miss overall.
I came across this today & I thought it fit in the nerd category with its Zelda theme. This was drawn at Six Flags of my son & one of his friends (age 11).
I'd be cool with it if they were remaking movies that were good in the first place but "Fright Night"? You've got to be kidding me. Since "Piranha", "Godzilla", ""Karate Kid", and "Clash of the Titans" were already reconstituted, I'll bet Hollywood has "Howard The Duck", "Showgirls", "Gigli", "Glitter", and "Lord of Harry Potter's Rings" all primed to be remade within the next 5 years.
Godzilla has been under consideration for another remake since the late 90's remake flopped. The actual concept of Godzilla is a sound one and could literally be a monster franchise in America the way it is in Japan if the right people are put on the project and that's what they have been trying to do: Find the right filmmakers to make it work. And speaking of remakes get ready for Total Recall with Colin Farrell in the Arnold role.
lol at least Colin is making it back to the big screen again. I like him as an actor, even if he won't bring the same physical dominance to the film as Arnold did. As for the 90s godzilla, I actually liked it
I'm a fan of the concept of Godzilla and have most of the Japanese made movies both older and newer ones on DVD, so I did want to like the 90's version because there were some parts of the story I liked but overall I couldn't get behind it. When the movie trailer for Cloverfield first came out I intitally thought like a lot of other people that it was going to be the new remake for Godzilla they have been trying to come up with. JJ Abrams or Steven Spielberg would definitely be two choices to go with to get it right IMO.
i liked cloverfield too...the best part about it to me was the cam perspective i also liked quarantine and the spanish films it's based on, called rec and rec2 im surprised no one has mentioned the Smurfs movie
I liked Cloverfield also. That they didn't do the standard Hollywood monster movie formula and did it from the bystanders just caught up in the events POV was great. A couple of my friends didn't like it because it didn't stick to movie formula and give up all the details of what was & where the monster came from. Saw the first Quarantine and thought it was okay. Haven't gotten around to watching the second one yet, but probably will since its currently on demand on local cable here.
wow i didnt even know the second one was out yet...i thought it would be a major hollywood release:smt095
